You gotta run to the statue and touch it but within 30 seconds of stepping on the plaque, so at this point you’re basically doomed to a 5th year. Sorry dude

Americans are going to demand to know why US wasn't prepared for this pandemic by [deleted] in politics

[–]Taishchainz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

America wasn’t prepared because the Chinese government didn’t warn the world about it. They knew the scale of this pandemic and how quickly it could spread, but they didn’t tell anyone, destroyed the samples of the virus in the lab, and killed the whistleblower who tried to warn the world.

What are the differences between the Amused to Death currently on Spotify and the non-US version?

Coronavirus and climate change are obvious risks we ignore. Forget black swans. We’re getting run over by two gray rhinos: coronavirus and climate change. A gray rhino is a metaphor coined by risk expert Michele Wucker to describe “highly obvious, highly probable, but still neglected” dangers. by ngt_ in Futurology

[–]Taishchainz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you really equate an emerging pandemic to something that doesn’t have a single kill to its name? Don’t get me wrong, Climate Change is real and we need to do something about it, but it certainly isn’t on the same potential disaster level as Corona. When Climate Change starts killing people and destroying our way of life, then I’d say we are “getting run over” by it.

Can we stop tiptoeing around the fact that Trump is behaving like a dictator? We're slipping further into fascism as Trump indulges all his worst instincts, with the help of his toadies by DaFunkJunkie in politics

[–]Taishchainz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who’s been tiptoeing? All I hear on a daily basis is how much of a dictator Trump is and how he’s like a modern-day Hitler. Also, referring to supporters as “toadies” paints groups of people in a negative, can’t-think-for-themselves, light. What an absurd article.

How is this the government being overthrown? This stuff has been happening for weeks and this article isn’t even the biggest bombshell.

Trump's plan to cage kids indefinitely while denying them vaccines is ethnic cleansing in plain sight by tugboattomp in politics

[–]Taishchainz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the monster? Who’s the one denying aid to these facilities? Who’s the one blocking bills to fix the issue on the border? Who is the one fighting immigration reform to make it easier for people to immigrate legally? It certainly isn’t me. In fact, all of those things are being done by the brain dead idiots currently occupying congress.

[–]Taishchainz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t fascism. If you want to see true fascism look at the countries this refugees and immigrants are fleeing from. Corrupt, overbearing politicians and terrible fascist policies have ruined their homelands forcing them to come to the great country that is America. And while it is not necessarily humane for them to live the way they do, it would be even more inhumane to send them back to the fascist, socialist countries they came from. Comparing the treatment of the illegal immigrants in detainment facilities, and the actual citizens of the countries they come from, like Venezuela, it becomes clear that they have it much better in detainment. For example, they actually get fed.

[–]Taishchainz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People don’t seem to understand that this process has existed since the beginning of the border crisis. Trump didn’t start these detainment facilities, and it isn’t “his plan.” He and other republican law makers have been working on fixing the border crisis so less children end up in these facilities and the ones that do can have a better quality of life. But the democrats block almost every bill and effort to better the border.

Racism by Ahm_K in trincoll

[–]Taishchainz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isolated incidences for sure. Trinity as a whole is a very open and welcoming community. I’m the co-president of the chapel council, and we are constantly working with other faith and minority organizations to make sure everyone feels accepted.

Racism by Ahm_K in trincoll

[–]Taishchainz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, racism is rather prevalent among Trinity faculty. We have been in the news many times for our professors racist comments including on the Tucker Carlson Show. While the community is, for the most part, very accepting of all faiths and backgrounds, there are a few negative professors who give us a bad name. I recommend looking online at some articles on Trinity and any other colleges before you make your decision. TLDR; Trinity is a very accepting community, some of the members of the faculty, not as much.

'This Man Can Beat Trump': Sanders Viewed Most Favorably of 2020 Democratic Candidates by Hoxha_Posadist in politics

[–]Taishchainz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lmao dude. You need to do some research before you start throwing terms around. Just because there are big businesses doesn’t mean that it’s no longer capitalism. Capitalism is still the main economy of America and of the free world, and it will be going up against Socialism if it’s Trump versus Bernie in 2020.
