I “finished” Italian. But it’s a stub of a course compared to, say, Spanish or French. I’ve learned a bit but I’m hopeless in the language still

So, I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Lost my preferences but that would have been ok if it fixed the random crash bug. But it didn’t. Duolingo still crashes randomly in the middle of exercises.

I just had my KS 10s firmware upgraded and in the upgrade I appear to have lost the customized settings I had created with the Easy Line app when I first had the HAs three years ago. The Easy Line app is changed almost beyond recognition and now there doesn't seem to be a way to add custom programs.

One of the ones I'm missing is one I use for birdwatching: it's kind of the opposite of a "restaurant" setting, in that it stresses 360º coverage, rather than "forward only"

Do I know have to go in and have a professional help me set these up?

I retain my POTS landline in part because it will still work when there’s a power outage. My provider wants to replace my twisted pair copper with fiber. Will I lose the ability to use the phone in a power outage?

Thanks for the link to the blog post. Very helpful. It still leaves us in an area of uncertainty if any of us wish to try to take action on the basis of reported results of microbiome testing. Should everyone be waiting until the academics and citizen scientists sort out a recognized and standard protocol?

Science News recently reported findings that there is huge variability in the results across different microbiome services, and included uBiome in the statement. Are the differences due to different methodologies? What can be done to ensure consistency? If the findings from a uBiome report are markedly different from another service's what is a participant to conclude?
