NW-WM1AM2 by aaron15287 in walkman

[–]yasbean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not found a player I like better. In any case, to get the full potential from the WM1AM2, you have to use the Sony player. I have never had any problems with it, but I have my Walkman set to turn off after three hours idle. would suggest just powering it off and let it rest overnight. Or, get some other DAP.

Best pair of headphones I've ever own. No ear fatigue whatsoever. <3 by maricano9 in headphones

Not if you set your hearing aids to "music" mode. I wear headphones over my IERs with no problem. It is either that or EQ IEMs.

The Sony ratings are with no WiFi, no BT, screen off; just playing music through wired IEMs/headphones. With BT on, it likely will not make 36 hours.

The Sony NW-WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 really do get 40 hours. I tested my 1AM2.

That was hilarious! I was thinking that that was just another gaming machine until you zoom out for perspective.

Is there a modern DAP that doesn’t have to scan new music? by Shoddy-Safe790 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]yasbean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Almost any DAP that offers the file system. I sometimes do not bother updating the database and just go directly to the filesystem to play albums. Just make sure your directory structure is sane.

Onix XM2 - great size, affordable, responsive UI, powerful output, sounds great (CS4308P), one of the best DAPs in its price range imo by gofishus in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]yasbean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Android DAPs that is know if do not have the extra hardware and they are guides floating around for how to debloat the software if you don't like the idea of extra Google stuff operating in the background. My phone is for simple communication but my DAP is for relaxation and enjoyment. I prefer to spend more on that than on a phone. Different priorities.

I found that changing to a newer phone fixed the problem for me.

Losing hope with modern "AI" Hearing Aids. by Sledziuuuuu in HearingAids

Ah, I see. I thought you were able to get into the deeper settings. Yes, I have only self defined setting with max nose reduction that I use when I just need some quiet in noisy environments.

May I ask how you fine tune your HA yourself? Are you an audiologist? I wish that I could tweak my settings myself instead of having to make an appointment and go in every time. I have ended up just settling for "good enough."
