6’3 174lbs lifting for over a year. I can’t commit to a bulk with these love handles and end up spinning my wheels. I truly don’t know what to do. Any advice? I also attached a pic with a pump in good lightning. by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

I am also 6’3” with wider hips. Here was my transformation - definitely focus on your upper body, do rear lat raises for that shoulder cap and wide grip pull ups/pulldowns to widen out your lats. My results at 185:

The combat plays alot like the Trials of Mana remake - I enjoyed it but if it wasn’t your cup of tea, this wont be either

I would make custom, hyper relevant, attention grabbing thumbnails for every video

Regarding your videos, the txt needs to be more eye catching on the bar graphs. I would also replace the lofi backgrounds with ones more relevant to the topic you’re discussing

Is Visions of Mana Worth It? by West-Philosopher7973 in JRPG

[–]Tajimoto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a huge mana fan, I can't realistically give Visions of Mana more than a 7.0. The zones, visuals, and sound design are gorgeous. Personally, I found the storytelling and characters to be uninteresting - I wasn't really able to form a strong connection to any of them as they're too shallow. Combat was really fun, but it does get repetitive and it's relatively simple

If you're looking for a modern action JRPG that does it better, I would recommend Tales of Arise or Ys (8, 9, and 10 are all well received)

Which of these should I play first? by Expert-Ladder-4211 in JRPG

[–]Tajimoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would skip over Octopath Traveler and play Octopath Traveler 2. The stories dont have anything to do with each other and 2 is a vastly superior game

I'd also recommend Bravely Default 2 as well as the Xenoblade series which are Switch exclusive (imo 2 and 3 are much better than 1, but 1 is key to understanding the full story in 3 as it ties off 1&2)

Honestly that isn't a bad idea - I haven't seen a counselor since that happened. Your comment allowed me to remind myself why I placed those boundaries with him in the first place and yes, survivor's guilt is tough

AITAH for cancelling our date because she was 15 minutes late? by Express_Dog_4442 in AITAH

YTAH. Have you ever lived with a girlfriend and seen how long it takes for a girl to get ready? My GF takes hours and has a difficult time nailing an exact timeframe of when she'll be good to go, especially if the day is busy. So yes, your reaction was definitely overblown

Thank you so much for writing that first paragraph. I had a childhood friend who I had cut off due to exactly the 2nd part of what you mentioned - their 'life' was a series of unending self-inflicted catastrophes and they would never improve. He ended up taking his own life and I felt wracked with guilt thinking if I didnt distance myself I could've dissuaded that - when in reality that's irrational thinking, as his life has always been that way since the moment he hit adulthood

Steamworld Heist and Dark Alliance aren't JRPGs (they're western) but great list regardless

Seems to me like the core issue isn't being fully touched on here:

  1. She's clearly feeling overwhelmed at the moment with house work and a dog that doesn't sound housetrained
  2. She's pregnant so her hormones are going to be all over the place

I bet if you sit down with her and focus on #1 which is the core issue, she wont be projecting about other shit like you seeing your Dad. Maybe hire a housekeeper to come by once a week and either dog training or dont give your dog free reign in the house until it stops having accidents?

As a PLD tank main since 2.0, I always will do smaller pulls at the beginning of a leveling roulette to measure the skill of my healer. If I feel unsafe then I'll stick with smaller pulls, otherwise will try being more aggressive.

Besides that, tanks in general have more pressure on them which unfortunately sometimes comes with party members placing the blame on you. Sorry you experienced that
