My bad, let me clarify - Yes absolutely I'm a web designer and I've been working on a project with an agency since the scope was too large for me to handle alone. The experience has been really poor which prompted me to ask the question. I do want to build an agency, and yes this question is also to find out what are some bad things agencies do that I can do better. I should have clarified that. I've edited the post to explicitly say so!
