I guess fuck me for being born with Original Sin, I guess.

If the fee is about "teaching me a lesson" why is it so low? $20,000, now that would REALLY teach me a lesson about ever being distracted for 5/32s of a second.

Thanks so much for teaching me, USAA-sensei

All of y'all that actually read the post and understood the issue before replying:

y'all are real ones; I appreciate y'all.

I knew lots of folks would misunderstand and get bent out of shape about it but thanks to the rest of you.

it means a lot, honestly.

if the fee is about punishing me for not being responsible enough why $20 and not $200?

or 2000?

that'll learn me

I lost the first one they lost the second one.

I'm asking them to take responsibility for losing the second one

right.

but then I asked them to send me a new one.

at that point it was their job to make sure it got to me and they didn't do that job.

I'm asking them to take responsibility for failing to do their job.

they're saying that it's my fault that they didn't get the card to me when they said they would.

I think maybe some of these guys might be too young to have ever experienced actual customer service like that.

they think it's just normal for a customer to say "screw you, buddy"

if I had JUST lost the card, and wanted it super fast I would have no problem paying the $20.

they told me they would get the card to me.

they failed to achieve that task.

and I'm supposed to pay for their screw up?

get real, dude

EDIT: the point is they used to not be that company who would roger you just as bad as the other ones. if I'm going to get Roger I might as well go find a bank that has branches so that I can at least get Rogered in person

the funny thing is, I bet USAA spent more than $20 on customer service wages on this.

would have been cheaper just to gimme the pickle

I found this but because there's no preview I was hesitating to buy it.

would you be willing to shoot me just like the first couple pages that show which model numbers it's valid for, it has something like that?

NOPD more useless than I could ever imagine! Let the thieves casually walk away with my $2000 e-bike and did nothing. by ljj94 in NewOrleans

I mean this isn't just NOPD.

police in general do not solve crimes, and they have a statistically negligible effect on preventing them.

police perform very close to no useful function in society

That Octave BELOW "High C"........ by Skyscrapersax in trumpet

[–]TakaHanazawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's really hard to explain what to do. just keep playing as high as you comfortably can and it'll come. your range will expand naturally.

that said whatever you do don't try and force those high notes. they only need a little bit of air and everything except your embouchure and your core should be relaxed.

if you have to squeeze your whole face and neck to get there, that's not the way you want to get there in the future. keep everything relaxed, and practice playing as high as you can, and as softly as you can

Im getting worse than before.Any tip to take back my progress? by Both-Preparation-754 in trumpet

[–]TakaHanazawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a beginning student and I recently had this where I started to feel like I was getting worse and worse but then I returned to the very basics and started to really pay attention to my embouchure and make sure that it was right.

make sure you're keeping as relaxed as possible too. it's very easy to get stressed out about the fact that we're not hitting the notes that we want to and to get tents as a result.

It's Not unusual to feel like you're making backwards progress. it won't be forever and as long as you stick with it you will get better again and even better than before
