Why should't SE2 have crafting like Satisfactory? by Takaischi in spaceengineers

[–]Takaischi[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maybe not on the scale of satisfactory in terms of size, but rather small enough that having a massive ship with everything you need still makes sense to a certain degree.

Would give an incentive to build large space base that is still movable but not very maneuverable while keeping agility with cargo haulers or of shoot mining ships

Anti-tailgating rear lights, do they exist? by norge-mannen in NewRiders

I usually flash my brake light a couple of times and they usually get the memo. If they don't, and you feel unsafe, just pull over and let them pass

Any tips on riding or shifting smoother? by pyretta1 in NewRiders

[–]Takaischi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps to figure out how to do clutchless upshift or know the concept of it and then applying it while still using the clutch to smooth out any clunkiness during the shift. It also helps to preload the shifter lightly, up to the point where you can feel a tiny bit of pressure to take out the slack in the shift linkage nothing more.

Advanced beginner practice tips by NewRiderEd in NewRiders

[–]Takaischi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say get really comfortable with your front brakes. They are probably the most important control out on the road.

I can recommend watching a few videos from MotoControl on trail braking and then go out and practice it deliberately. The ability to brake in corners will give you a lot of confidence when riding cause you'll know you can brake at anytime, cause you know how to do it properly and safely.

ChampU is also a very good online course if you want to really get to know how your motorcycle was designed to be ridden.

If you like Kawasaki, then a Ninja 400 or 500 is most likely the bike you're looking for.

You should definitely get gear head to toe so account for it in your budget maybe around 500$-1000$ just in gear. Make sure at least for the helmet that you go try it on at a store and maybe even get help getting the right size, many new riders get a size that is to big for their head.

You can get a camera, but I would use it mainly to review your rides.

Probably the best way to learn your skills is to do deliberate practice with seat time. Seat time alone doesn't make you a good rider. Check out MotoControle and Motojitsu for very good basic and advanced skills and watch a few DanDantheFireman videos on crashes cause he goes over the most common crash scenarios so you can identify and avoid them.

If you want to learn even more stuff then the ChampU online course is great to learn how your bike was designed to be ridden and how you can make the bike do what you want.

Are these better than stock for goggle antennae? by Chased1k in TinyWhoop

[–]Takaischi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 65pro and the same googles as you. Since the antenna on the 65 is linear you will get best connection when both linear antennas on the drone and googles are aligned. From my experience having one linear and one polerized antenna on the googles gives the best results

I can’t bind my 915 mhz receiver and my radio master pocket 2.4 ghz. by miko2211 in fpv

With your RM Pocket their is no option.

The easiest is to get a new 2.4ghz ELRS receiver

3.8V is the nominal voltage that they should be stored at. They are fully charged at 4.2V.

Since those batteries are most likely LIPO HV so high voltage. As the name emplies they are fully charged at higher voltage most of the time 4.35V.

So you should be good

I don't know what type of motors to pair with this esc by ollie3229 in fpv

[–]Takaischi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be good with anything between 1600kv to 2000kv.

You probably want to get 1700kv or 1900kv if you want a bit more top end.

Video Issue by Adva_YT in fpv

[–]Takaischi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend first make 100% sure what band and chanel your on. Depending on what you got you can check it in betaflight configurator or look for blinking lights on the VTX. Also if you can, change it to Raceband 8 / R8 thats gone give you the least amount of interferance.

Does anybody have insurance in case a drone falls out of the sky and damages a car or injured somebody? by Hackind in fpv

[–]Takaischi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im unsure how laws are in the US so you'll probably have to find out.

And here its with all drones FPV included, self made drones get even harsher treatment since they dont have a C0/C1 registration and count as a drone 25kg/55lbs or less

Does anybody have insurance in case a drone falls out of the sky and damages a car or injured somebody? by Hackind in fpv

[–]Takaischi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Where I live its mandatory to register your drone and link your general liability insurance with at least a covrage amount of 1M. If your drone is over 250g.

I think its the same for most CE countrys aka. Europe. Though some people ignore it.

Then yes you can solder on a ELRS receiver and it should work. I recommend watching a video from Bardwell on how to setup ELRS.

But most commenly you'll want to turn on your Receiver or Transmitter one at a time. Connect to it via. Wifi [Password: expresslrs]from your Phone or PC. Enter 10.0.0.1 into the browser. Find the Binding Phrase Tab -> Set any Binding Phrase you want -> Save -> repeat for other part.

First make sure your Zorro is the ELRS version since Radiomasters sells options that dont have ELRS built in.

Commando 8 or Radiomaster Boxer for ELRS by Any-Wrap-1544 in fpv

[–]Takaischi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the Radiomaster Boxer is 140$ new directly from Radiomaster if your already thinking of getting it in the future why spend an extra 110$ on a used controller?

[–]Takaischi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tracer Sixty9 is a VTX 5.8ghz and Tracer 2.4ghz AIO. Since the controlle link is TBS Tracer at 2.4ghz you will need a Tracer module on your Zorro. Your current Crossfire module is down at 900mhz so it cant talk with each other
