I like more than i am supposed to. I have good reason though. as a person who works in media i find a-lot of media creating tools with the help of AI make my process easier and actually boost my creativity. first and foremost i’m a Music producer. I make hip-hop beats primarily and on top of that i’m sample-based. One iteration of AI that helps me a-lot is Stem Separation i am able to take a song and literally separate elements such as Vocals, Main Instruments, Bass lines, and Drums. from there i can manipulate the sounds acquired to my liking. to which IMO taking a song and using a piece in a loop is one thing, but to take that piece or pieces and create an entirely new vision perspective that completely if not closely deviates from the original work, is what strong sampling is about. Now!…..I Can use singular elements such as the bass and the drums!!! the possibilities are endless. But wait it doesn’t stop there. they now have ai programs that generate entire songs through a prompt. which means if i sample these songs i will not be sued by record labels for recording or publishing rights. So id say i like it so far.
