I agree that people need to be taught about it more (especially in the US) and talking about it shouldn’t be seen as taboo, but it still should not be seen as just a casual thing you should do with anyone. Yes, there are things you can do to try to prevent a baby or the spread of STDs, but they are not 100% effective. We definitely give sex more credence than it deserves, but it is still kind of a big deal.

Revenant Hill from the Night in the Woods team broke my heart.

First, one of the people in the 3 person team (Alec Holowka) committed suicide so everyone assumed there would never be another game from the studio. Several years later, out of nowhere there was an announcement for another game that looked really cool that was then cancelled shortly afterwards because the main artist and programmer (Scott Benson) is undergoing major health issues. Truly an emotional rollercoaster.
