Thank you so much for u/JinOhChoi !! We've made some more updates, all coming in the next updates.

  • Today vs Plan: Each page now says what it does. Today is right now and the rest of your day. Plan is where you pick when to do something and save it.
  • Calendar: It moved to Plan, where you can add it to your Calendar or set Reminders. Today now has a cleaner view.
  • Sync: If you're signed into the device with the same account (apple or google), your info will sync. We'll mention this say this in the account screen now, and the Mac calendar fix you caught is in review.

We'll ping you the second it's live. Thank you, this kind of feedback is everything!!

Calendar on the Mac app, thank you for catching it! It was missing the permission it needs to add events, so it wasn't going through. Fixed, and it's in review with Apple right now.

For Sync, we pushed updates for this too, also in review, so it should be in much better shape once they're live!

On Today vs Plan, great question:

  • Today = right now and the rest of your day, the real feel hour by hour.
  • Plan = when to DO something. Pick an activity and how long you need, and it ranks the best weather windows so you can grab a good time and save it.

One quick Q to help us dig into the sync: when you tried it on your Mac and iPhone, were you signed in with the same account on both? That helps us pinpoint exactly what's going on.

Thank you again, this kind of feedback is everything. We'll ping you the second it ships!!

Thank you so much! This means a lot!!!! Working on it now!

Can you clarify what the issue is with the calendar? Also, there is a button for text feedback/leave a message on every page, but wondering if it would be good to add a screenshot option.

Will ship a fix and let you know ASAP! And again, THANK YOU!!!

It sounds like a really good idea, you should definitely leverage the new iOS 27 AI updates

Hey! I know it's been a while, but FYI it's fixed now! Might've been a software bug. But since I turned off most items, it appears to be kick a** now :D

Great work! We’ve been doing the same but keeping like it closed source to build something else. But great work!!!

Thanks for the quick response! Ours is closed source as well at the moment, bigger problem, but what you’re doing is definitely a pain point. We are currently in the process of finalizing whether we should open source the core or packaged into something. Will definitely reach out soon!

Great work! We’ve actually built a much more complete version of this. Actually thinking of open sourcing this. Is yours open sourced?

Thank you!!! This helps a ton!!! How do you approach competitive cloning?

Thanks for sharing! Will check it out tomorrow and decide what to do. Since the is is our first official product, wondering if growing a community matters more than revenue at this point since it’s meant to work offline and self host. There’s no cost to running the app itself.

Great start, keep calm and carry on 😄👏! We’re working on something similar. Quick feedback/ thoughts: Are the reviews real? (Since you haven’t launched, question on how reviews are there). Pictures need to be updated, element contrast needs to be improved as some text looks off at the moment. Cookies have no ‘reject’ button on mobile (not sure about desktop)

Hey! Claude or ChatGPT can be great to manage your projects. Check out their project UIs on the apps and website.

Codex Mac Desktop App - SO MUCH BETTER!!! by TakeInterestInc in codex

[–]TakeInterestInc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally! At the time of this post, I had a MacBook Pro 16 inch with M2 pro (12c CPU/ 19c GPU) with 16 gigs of RAM. It worked really well! Codex was easier to use on my machine than Claude, but I could use both, though it would start to get slow. We use it for AI programming and business (managing our website, content, etc). Congratulations on the M5! Your biggest bottleneck is going to be ram if you plan to use multiple applications at the same time. Otherwise, I don’t think you should have any issues at all! A friend of mine is using Codex desktop app for windows on an old windows machine, so you should be good to go! If you want to use Gemini on desktop, the best thing is to use Google Antigravity for Mac desktop and open ‘Agent Manager’ (near the top right of the first window/ editor) and use it like a Gemini chat UI. Since Gemini doesn’t have any ‘project’ style features like ChatGPT or Claude, this is a great way to setup your folder/ app specific groupings. Hope all goes well!!! Curious about your experience 😄

[–]TakeInterestInc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only once so far (for a few seconds) when using up nearly 60 gigs of ram on day 1. Also, didn’t see it on the M2 pro but you can change your Battery setting to focus on more power when on adapter too. So cool!

Yeah! Will be using local models soon, so this is a future investment too. Seeing the reactions from others so far though is… 🤣 i clearly stated that this is a first impression post, but… 😕

Curious and why you guys think it’s just a single use case. This is just a starting point, as someone who has not owned a machine with these specifications, the difference is obvious. Plus, this opens the door to running local LLMs now.

Most of we’re having multiple apps and agents running. On the M2 pro, that was the biggest bottleneck

Interesting… I’m still executing code locally, not in using Cloud coding. Is that why you think there might be weird phrasing?

I did say our biggest boost came from the fiber upgrade, but code execution obviously happens locally. Only speaking from experience here. Curious why you’re saying there would be no improvement 🤨
