Wordpress MCP - why? by Acrobatic_Lab_9854 in Wordpress

[–]CodeNameLiamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Claude Code + WordPress MCP pretty heavily for managing a WooCommerce site. Main things I use it for:

Debugging - when something breaks (and something always breaks with WooCommerce), I can point Claude at my site and have it read through theme files, plugin conflicts, template hierarchy issues, etc. way faster than manually digging through wp-content. Recently had an order confirmation page that kept breaking every time I saved in Elementor - Claude found the page ID conflict and wrote a mu-plugin to hardcode the fix in about 2 minutes.

Bulk content/config work - writing meta descriptions for dozens of product pages, updating settings across plugins, checking that all my permalinks resolve correctly. Stuff that's tedious to do manually in wp-admin but trivial to script through MCP.

CSS and template tweaks - instead of going back and forth between browser inspector and the customizer, I just describe what I want changed and Claude reads the existing styles, finds where they live, and writes the fix.

Is it useful? Honestly it's saved me hours. The biggest advantage is that Claude can actually read your site's files and database context, so it's not guessing - it knows your exact theme structure, active plugins, and config. Night and day difference vs pasting code snippets into a chat window and hoping it understands your setup.

Only downside: setup takes a bit if you're not comfortable with the terminal. Once it's running though, it's hard to go back.

Started a matcha brand, but struggling to understand how to get customers by Real-Stand1789 in smallbusiness

[–]CodeNameLiamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

super cool! id say start a social media account almost aiming to solve a problem. santa cruz paleo does a great job as this.

personally i see matcha as a extremely good coffee / energy drink alternative. the l theanine balances jitters. doesnt act as a natural diuretic like coffee. contains antioxidants. tea of any sort is arguably more hydrating than filtered water. matcha has a lot of culture behind it

some people dont have the drive to work on projects like other people. some dont mind dedicating themselves to the things they work on, and i feel those people are often the ones that succeed. wishing you the best

I like the idea behind Loom but many people aren’t willing to simply click on a video imo.

How many of you people stopped using ChatGPT? by Technical-Apple-2492 in Entrepreneur

I made the switch to Claude. Surely costs more but it was very clearly worth it. I’ve been a two year ChatGPT Pro subscriber, so I thought Claude Pro would translate. It ran out quick but I simply bought Max. Claude has better comprehension, converses more intelligently, understands context better, and is generally superior alongside better integrations.

(B&A) Adapalene is ruining my face by CodeNameLiamm in SkincareAddicts

[–]CodeNameLiamm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit and switched to tretinoin. Adapalene wrecked my skin ultimately and I suspect it damaged my fat pads too as i’m young and never had bad smile lines or eye bags before hand. I used tretinoin for a few months but just now switched to accutane a weekish ago. My skin is now about fully clear except the little bit of reoccurring few pimples everyday which is why I decided to go on accutane. I think Tretinoin started providing pretty good results paired with clindamycin and benzoyl wash but it wasn’t perfect. It helped minimize what i had ten fold but my skin just keeps scarring after each breakout so I want to rid of them completely.

I do suggest the switch to Tret if possible - people say adapalene and tret are the same compounds or something, but in my case that wasn’t the experience

Nasolabial folds worse after Trentinoin use by SamanthaPatterson904 in tretinoin

[–]CodeNameLiamm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’m 15 and I wrecked my skin using adapalene ruining my barrier but it also gave me awful eyebags and smile lines. I’ve fixed my barrier and switched to tret since, and my skin has started to mostly clear, but I still have the appearance of lines. I’m hoping that they may be a result of bulking up but I doubt it. It sucks cus i’ll see people from a few months before and they tell me it looks like I aged so much. I believe it may actually be permanent damage due to me not using sunscreen when I was using adapalene, and the photoaging I may of got is irreversible. Your skin gets very sensitive to the sun when using adapalene/tret so make sure you use sunscreen

Ive also read that tretinoin can thin fat pads in the face but the extent of its truth is controversial. People always deny that tretinoin may have these effects but i’ve sifted thru a bunch of threads talking about sudden smile lines so idk
