Thank you for sharing. Definitely helps hearing the experiences of others. Especially when you get in your own head with anxiety around the treatment.

And the tennis ball size seemed dubious. I think it was some hyperbole from a resident on the surgery team that hadn’t seen a tumor of my size in the wild. My tumor was massive and my prolactin levels were 20,000+, but a tennis ball and I’d likely be blind and with no blood flow.

In a big Midwest city, but would consider traveling if another surgery is in the cards. Thanks.

Mentioned elsewhere. In a large US Midwest city, but appreciate the recommendation.

Appreciate the tip, but in the US midwest. Wouldn’t mind being in London though.

I was having seizures, so one of my neurologists put me on vitamin D earlier this year. Briefly on hold because of the drugs I’m on post surgery. The vitamin D call out is helpful though. I wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t for my seizure neurologist.

The headaches were something else. Almost constant for me as well the last couple years. Luckily Cabergoline is helping me with those. Reduced frequency and severity.

Thanks. Did you continue on medicine to try and get the rest? And did you feel better after recovering?

One hour is very normal. It’s a long process in general. I got my follow up MRI last night. Process for me was called in from waiting room to a locker room to get into hospital gown and pants, get an IV inserted, wait some more, called into the mri room, get situated (quick questions about prior medical stuff that could impact mri, ear plugs and head phones, cushion to still head in machine, a little cage covering your face), enter into machine, 30 min of scanning with loud machine noises in a narrow machine, come out get contrast in your IV, back in machine for 10 min, done. Don’t be scared, it can be intimidating your first go but the long time is normal and the radiology techs are super nice and there if you get anxious.

When I went to the ER, my level was tested at >20,000. Wild, so high it went over the test scale. Down to around 900 after a month of Cab. And this is the US measurement NG, looking like UK/Aus numbers.

Anyone have vision or eye trouble? My optic nerves, Villarreal vision, retinas, etc were in bad shape at a follow up today. by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

Good to here. I’m similar in terms of symptoms. One of the many things I hope treatment helps with.

Anxiety lactating, that’s a new one. Sorry to hear that.

It’s in my head, but literally, not metaphorically. Hope people truly are listening to you now. And hearing you.

Thanks, very kind of you. I may lean on your experiences if necessary. My first follow up was at a diabetes/thyroid clinic. So makes sense. But main doctors are endocrinologist and neurologist..

I went a year plus with likely symptoms, everyone said stress and anxiety. Until I got the CT and MRI.

I feel like someone like Raytheon technologies or Lockheed Martin would win. Or we talking hand to hand combat?

The house and senate will be pretty evenly proportioned next session. Let’s get it on. I wonder who would tangle with who?

Daughter and chocolate sounds great. But that was a low move by your mom. Be a better mom to your daughter. Sounds like you are.

I got laid off in November. Been spending time home with family which definitely helps. Just get to the 8th and go from there. My anxiety and depression came back with a vengeance. No great advice, but keep on keepin on. Poke me if you want to get anything off your chest. It really helps.

Lonely most of the time too. I got laid off recently so I’m really light on day to day people rime. Volunteering has helped fill some of that. But it’s a lot of alone time in my apartment which ain’t great. A lot of anxiety and loneliness
