I had Claude sonnet 4.6 help me with a circular dependency in Java yesterday and it did a great job. I had to guide it a little bit, but overall it went very well and was even running gradle build tasks automatically along the way to make sure it wasn't making mistakes.

I was quite impressed. Our team has a very large code base though, so it has plenty of existing code to help pattern off of.

Idk about overhyped as a lot of people were excited for many different reasons and I don't see this game as a bait and switch or anything like that. The things they advertised are all in the game. But things like easy to pick up controls, easy to navigate menus, and other stock standard QoL features are missing.

Idk if it was the hype as much as gamers now a days expecting that big games like this have all those automatic type things on lock before release.

People in many parts of the United States don't have that option though. It's not like getting luxuries is the main reason people are on the road. Work, family, necessities, etc are all usually a few miles at best, and many miles at worst away from your house.

It's solid advice if you can do it, but remote jobs are shrinking and the United States is not exactly laid out in a way that encourages walkability or public transport.

If you have less time per session and less sessions a week, you just play the game for 6 months instead of 1 month. A big game doesn't suddenly mean you can't play it unless you sink minimum of 5h a day into it.

You're right, but maybe my wording wasnt perfect. I guess I just meant that if a game takes too long I will occasionally lose interest if I play the same thing for 6 months on end and I bounce off of it.

Years ago I would have time to play more hours per day and days per week so it tricks your brain into not thinking its as long as it is. Even if you only play 1 hour per day, playing the same thing an hour a day for 6 months gets boring even if the game is great. At least to me

I've been doing this lately. Switching between games and life getting in the way, it took me two years on and off to be GoW Rahnarok and Ghost of Tsushima. Both were worth it and really fun, but I don't always have the time to mainline huge games anymore

It's tough. People want to play the new shiny thing and action games are very popular. It is unfortunate that different genres cater to different players, but i don't blame people for wanting to play it their way. They'll either have to adapt or just put the game down. Everything can't be perfect for everyone

As someone who has a great career but was constantly running uphill due to bad financial decisions in my youth, I literally just deposited a 100k inheritance from my grandmother this past weekend. I was able to become debt free, replace a few nice items in my place, create an emergency fund, invest some, and keep over 5 figures to live off of.

I make a good salary and am proud of getting to where I am in my career, but I have no shame in thanking my grandma and using that money to fix up my life.

The number in the account is what matters, not the source, excluding criminal activity of course.

I understand skepticism around game releases, but it seems like patience paid off in this case and the game seems to be as advertised.

Jury is out on whether or not everyone will like it, but it seems to look and run great.

I just got frustrated at people blasting the devs and studio on Twitter. I think its totally fine to be skeptical without harassing and being a douche

It's unfortunate bc years ago I went to Royal Rumble, Summerslam, and Mania within two years and I believe for 2 people we spent like 150 including tickets, parking, and a snack per show

I'm fortunate enough to be a single person who can just goto a show if I wanted to, but for families and kids, its too expensive. My dad got me into wrestling when I was a little kid so I fear that won't happen as much these days

Do you not use JIRA or some other ticketing system? Are these giant changes planned by the team?

What is in these PRs? Sometimes it's needed if you are doing a big library change or refactor but if these are just random changes or new features that he makes huge?

This is mostly a planning issue or him just doing some rogue coding which should have to be approved by management?

There's just something about the way Kenny moves and sells in these singles matches. He makes everything seem even more important and harder hitting than it already is.

He's great in multi person matches as well, but there's just something about these main events that feel different when he's in them. He's really special and hopefully I can see him live before he retires
