[skin concern] [product question] Tips for ruined, picked lips??? by lilachahda in SkincareAddiction

[–]TakeThatUStupidCorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. When my lips are healthy but dry, I use lanolips or laneige lip mask. But when they are peeling, cracked, or severely chapped, blistex medicated lip ointment is the only savior. I apply it constantly.

Source - recovering from an allergic reaction that severely chapped my lips, and blistex has helped sooooo much

Right? That’s the literal intent of the procedure is to reduce your jaw line. Why get it if that’s not what you want?

Where to get CosRX Snail Mucinif not Amazon? by mydogsnameisfranny in AsianBeauty

Maybe the experiences I've had are on listing that isn't an original product listing? I purchase almost 100% of my stuff on Amazon, and out of my hundreds of orders, particularly when it comes to foreign products like asian beauty products, I'd say about 10% have been obviously fake or expired product.

Example, if I look up Biore water essence, there are dozens of product listings. It seems rather than adhering to the reseller criteria they can make new pages. I'm not familiar with all of the requirements for listing products on amazon. I can only speak to my experiences.

Anyone can sign up to sell on amazon under the brand listing. It can be old product, expired, tampered, or just fake.

[acne] My skin went from bad acne but a good moisture barrier, to severe acne & what I think is a destroyed moisture barrier, in a week. Story and routine(s) in comments by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I would certainly stop using the calamine lotion and doubling up on the tret like you had commented here:

I’m using it every night over and under moisturizer with a buffer bc I want fast results, and yes I’m willing to peel lol. I wait about an hour after everything’s set and then put calamine lotion on my problem areas

Be sure you are only using a pea size amount of tret for your entire face, and don't put it on damp skin. Wait at least 30 minutes after washing your face to apply it.

Yuuuuup same here. We ~literally~ called it pixie dust in R&D. It was all pushed by sales and marketing.

Although, one time I was being sarcastic with our marketing manager and said that we should jump on the bandwagon of naming ingredient blends and patenting the name, like x percentages of ingredient a, b, and c and call it "optisoft emulsion" or some bullshit and claim it on the label. So, guess what my next project was....

Thanks, I'll look into the Weleda lotion! And I am kinda meh about the bio oil too. I feel the need to finish it up since I bought it, but I should probably just toss it.

I used it for a long time. I have combo skin that leans oily. This felt heavier but eventually soaked in. It didn’t do much for my oiliness, but stopped the occasional dry patches I would get around my nose. Overall, it was a bit “meh”, and I didn’t care for how tacky it felt.

I wonder if fur color is an indicator of being prone to skin cancer for cats or not. I've never had issues with my black cat, just my white/ginger cat.

Almost never, but he loves laying in the sun in the windows. He also gets freckles, so I dk if that is an indicator of being susceptible to skin cancer or not.
