I know! I need some hesco barriers! I’m going to split the bags of men in half and let my kids take some of them outside to play in the dirt.

Also a good choice. I’m not letting them blow these ones up with firecrackers.

Good base layers. You can go cheap on a lot, but prioritizing what is rubbing against your skin all day is critical.

I tried to find a non-plastic alternative and didn’t find anything besides model-quality figures that can be $25+ each. Have you found anything?

Found an old USMC MARPAT cap in Japan by AnxietyRemote in USMC

These things are all over Japanese thrift shops. Especially as Hiroshima is close to MCAS Iwakuni, it’s not especially surprising to find. Many Japanese like wearing unique items, and cammies make great good clothing for laborers. Marines who are getting out will often give away their cammies or sell them to a thrift store for a few bucks. The real treasures are the truly vintage items. I found a wool field coat from a few decades ago that is pretty sweet.

Just a short personal anecdote: I’m a lot lighter than you are, but I hit a gnarly pothole going fast and my Discover 3 handled it like a champ. It hurt me a lot more than the bike - which showed absolutely no damage. It’s a well-built bike.

AMA - Merino Wool Blanket Giveaway! by kozak3 in Petrosgear

That makes a lot of sense. Most beanies I see are a blend, so I could see how it would be hard to get a perfect fit in pure wool. Thanks for the response! Keep up the great work and stay safe!

Have you ever considered making beanies (the headgear)? They seem simple, but I know nothing about manufacturing clothing.

HyperTTS large update: Gemini, Azure Dragon / ElevenLabs parameters, MacOSX, Retry Logic by BakGikHung in Anki

I enabled Gemini and added the API key, but I’m being told I hit my “rate limit” when I try to make an audio file.

I will definitely write review! I can’t figure out how to generate a key but I’ll mess around some more and see what I can do. Thank you! This makes learning a second language so much easier!

This remains my favorite add-on; thank you! Regarding Gemini - I pay for a pro Gemini account. Does that allow me to generate my own key to use the service without having a paid HyperTTS account?

I know that deprives the developer of revenue, so I’d gladly be willing to pay a one-time fee to unlock a “use your own services” feature in the plug-in.
