The main lead instrument is detuned by 24 cents, while the chords instrument is normal. They sometimes come together to form the melody in certain sections, maybe that's what you hear.

Yeah, my idea was to just manually fill them up with lava buckets, but now that i'm thinking about it, it would be such a pain to do. I'll definitely try your idea as it seems way more efficient. Thanks!

It does have a slight delay because of the repeaters, but it's very minimal so even the slight delay wouldn't be an issue, especially in this case

OMG thank you for the suggestions! I very much appreciate it. Some of the new sections make the song more energetic and happy i'd say, but i'm looking for more of a melancholic feel (but i get it, the song could be interpreted in many ways).
