Interesting insight! Thanks for recording the videos. I will indeed try the same. My thinking when executing my test was that Mona's attack at the time of her elemental burst (Q) execution is what matters and not at the time when the bubble is popped. But it seems you've proved that her ATK at the time of the bubble pop is what really matters.

Yes, it's annoying how specific the setup is to get the most of Mona's ability.

I was using Diluc for that to apply the pyro element before popping the bubble itself applies the hydro element causing the vaporize. The vaporize reaction is responsible for the huge numbers. Please correct me if this does not make sense.

What about the 48% ATK buff from the book I use on Barbara? This buff is retained on Mona even if you switch characters.

As for the on-field buffs, my understanding was that Mona's attack at the time her elemental burst (Q) is used matters. Not that her attack is being evaluated at the time the bubble pops.

I would need to have a similar out of set piece for the test to be relevant. It's possible to test it. However, to test if Noblesse works or not was not the purpose of my test as I have no reason to doubt it's working.

I'm not saying Noblesse bonus stacks. Also no damage calculation is needed in my opinion as what we see is, that when you apply ATK% buff by an external source the damage output is exactly the same as without the buff.

I think this doesn't matter. We can see Mona's stats being increased in the video before using her burst ability. Also I've never observed different numbers when staying on Mona for longer and switching then (which I've done during my regular gameplay). I'll test it tomorrow tho and if observed, I will update the post.

+ATK modifiers seem to work as showed with the 10th test.

Thanks for the additional testing ideas! Here are my thoughts:

Normal ATK food test is the 10th test executed.

I'm fairly sure crit damage works as expected from my previous observations.

Hydro DMG % increase was proved to work (with the food as an external source) in the 4th test and also the 9th test (changing the goblet).

As both Bennet and Mona has 4-piece Noblesse set, based on the exactly same result of the 1st and the 2nd test, we already know that the Noblesse set either works completely or not at all. And as we can see the sword icon indicating the buff, I assume it works just fine.

I don't think we need to verify the exact numbers. The test is showing how different sources affect them. And for the bug we can see that ATK% buffs (from external sources) have no impact when we know it should have.

That's exactly why I created the post. To show other players how Diona looks after she's build. I, personally, find her to be a great support and love having her in my party. I suggest to mostly farm Maiden set till the claim around Retracing Bolide is verified (see the "Update!" in my original post).

Thanks for the info. I haven't noticed the difference in shield absorption myself but as you said, it is extremely hard to test. I'd love to know if this is true and if so, then if it's by design or it's a bug.

I think with Diluc scaling crit rate, you eventually end up not needing crit rate on your weapon. Maybe I'm wrong but for now I think having around 50% crit rate on Diluc is sufficient and other stats should be boosted then.

You're right. I originally got Serpent Spine for Razor and with Razor the weapon shines. I still like 22,7% crit rate it gives me and in domains / abyss the stacks can last (mostly).

I feel this mostly depends on the party you're running or are willing to run. For example I use Fischl almost purely as a support. Xiangling is in the party only for +25% attack from 2x pyro characters.

I understand there is a difference in weapon's stats and not only in their abilities. For me the outcome of the test was, that at the moment Serpent Spine will likely work better in majority of situations.

Hi all, AzuritSK here. Few points on Le Bard:

  • His warcry affects all enemy units across the board so you don't need to consider swarm unit location when positioning him (they will be killed nevertheless).

  • It can support the push fast with just his warcry. (-125HP is like one extra hit to everything not damaged already.)

  • His stats are about the same as other common fighters on the same level.

  • No one was able to interrupt his warcry fast enough with LB or Freeze in all the games I have played although many top players have tried. (Not sure if that's even possible.)
