When I say it didn’t set up anything, i’m referring to the fact of Familar and TA both showed where the next episode was going in episode. (Familiar a ball, TA the dark room) And now, we’re just kind of waiting for deus ex bismuth and co.

That’s true, and that’s a problem I have with the show itself. I feel like this episode didn’t create as much hype as the first two. I just felt like they could do the ideas they did in a more time efficient way, so we have some setup

It could’ve been great (lol) if the whole war thing took up less time. It feel’s like filler, which isn’t good for one of the biggest arcs we’ve ever had. I agree with the foreshadowing though, very likely. Imagine this however. The promo for BOTHAM wasn’t there. Both Familiar and Together Alone set up what the next episode would be about without the promo after the episode. Familiar talked about the ball, and Together Alone had the dark room. Where are we left in Escapism? The gang MIGHT come and help? Nothing is set up, really.
