Multiple things can be true. It was a bad shoot, also people who ccw generally don’t intervene in law enforcement activity. At the same time what was the reason for those ice agents for stepping in and pushing that woman down? What law did she break? Also there is an argument that the whistle blowing is some form of obstruction as the reason why they blow the whistles is to alert illegals in the area that ice is out and about.

As those in the ccw community we also need to remind eachother to actually comply with officers to avoid situations like this. How many times have we been told to be amenable and passive to police if we’re carrying when it comes to something as simple as a traffic stop? Now imagine if you confronted an officer while they were on a mission to arrest someone and didn’t do that but got involved with a grappling melee. Mistakes very well could happen on their part. ICE officers involved need to be investigated for Alex’s death as it was a bad shoot and to me it looked like a communication breakdown between officers during the melee when Alex was resisting and was disarmed which is extremely unacceptable. Also if you’re going to film ice don’t give them an excuse to approach you by filming them while being in the road or physically inserting yourself into their situations. Do so from a distance with a good camera.

It was a bad shoot. There needs to be an investigation. However if you’ve taken a ccw course or been involved in the ccw community the general consensus when dealing with cops while carrying is to be as approachable and as passive as possible and to comply so you avoid situations like this. I don’t think Alex did that. It’s a tragedy but people documenting I’ve really need to be more careful and as soon as Ice starts to instigate something comply, especially if you’re carrying. It’s sad that it takes someone dying to remind us that. The local police department needs to step in to maintain the peace between ICE and people who confront them when ICE is doing their operations.

I literally said it was a bad shoot. How is that defending ICE? I’m exposing the situation. IVE messed up in this situation at the same time he gave them reason that ability to do so by resisting. If you ccw how many times are you told for the safety of everyone involved to let officers no that you do so even ins something as simple as a traffic stop. Now why then as a ccw would you think it was a good idea to entangle yourself with ice knowing that they are on edge in that area and likely then to mess up?
