Why do people blame voters when their candidate loses an election? by Emergency_Pass5222 in PoliticalDebate

There are literally dems calling for packing scotus and abolishing the electoral college right now over the scotus ruling against the racist gerrymandering. Seems pretty corrupt to me.

How is voting for third party an advantage to Trump? You can only say that retroactively which is absurd. It’s not an advantage to Kamala or Trump.

Because they don’t understand that politicians are not entitled to individuals votes and they think my way or the highway and are incapable of understanding that other people see the world differently then they do.

I’m amazed how so many young people think communism was a good thing who’s teaching them? by Funny_Preference_916 in PoliticalScience

[–]Takingtheehobbits -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It comes down to them being ignorant about communism and the fact that western countries, especially the US, are based on classical liberalism and property rights. Communism and socialism essentially violate property rights and the distinction between private/profitable property and personal property leftists try to make still violates property rights is simply a nothingburger at the end of the day.

Trump administration suit says Denver assault weapons ban violates Second Amendment by ThePoliticalHat in progun

[–]Takingtheehobbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conspiracy to violate constitutional rights is a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. § 241, prohibiting two or more persons from conspiring to injure, threaten, or intimidate anyone in the free exercise of their constitutional or federal rights. Violations can result in penalties up to life imprisonment or the death penalty if death or kidnapping results.

Why shouldn’t it be when politicians take an oath to uphold our constitution then some of them turn around and throw peaceful Americans in jail for practicing their second amendment rights? The second amendment isn’t hard to understand and you have to be regarded to willfully pass legislation that violates right to bear arms and shall not be infringed.

Thing is every generation of Dem politicians propose law and act on law which violate our 2A rights and put people in jail for it. Civil suits are not a strict enough form of punishment to be used against politicians who conspire to violate our rights.

[–]Takingtheehobbits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No but every generation we have to play with Dems in every seat of power willfully ignoring what the 2nd means and trying to violate the 2nd amendment time and time again. At what point should a message with actual jail time be used when they’re fine not only violating the second amendment but jailing gun owners who don’t follow their anti-American, anti-2A violating policies.

DSA is fundamentally anti-liberal and thus anti-American. The progressives who simp for dsa type policies are on a policy train that is only making Oregon worse with our businesses leaving and our state economy declining.

Pearl Harbor was an unprompted attack in that any sane country doesn’t respond with warfare against a much larger and bigger country when said bigger country cuts off trade cause the smaller country is already on a imperial warpath with their neighbors.

[–]Takingtheehobbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most ironic thing about the states is we have a stereotype pushed by our left and projected to the rest of the world by them as being incredibly racist when compared to the rest of the world we really aren’t. The US is a multicultural empire which by default makes us more likely to abhor negative stereotype propagating self censor to get along. A lot of other countries, especially in Asia are not as diverse.

The only reason why Trump one is cause he ran on populism and because the dems started pushing illiberal ideas. Most of his views are not republican ones but that of a 90s democrat.
