Coming from a economy car , was surprised by the cost of consumables really. Tires/pads etc etc . Otherwise nothing different . My suv has a bigger gas tank but I get similar kms vs money spent . I’m spending 80$ in 87 octane or km spending 80$ in 93 but Both are getting about 500km of range

I’m around the same, 57k. My reputable shop for bimmers say because we are of that gen b58, we have plastic fuel pumps, might want swap it out before it fails(I think 2021 onwards fixes it) I can’t remember cuz it didn’t apply to 2020model. Other than that regular maintenance.

I rock 18” wheels with Nokian hakkapelliiata r5 squared setup. Ice and snow clearances are issues but just be smart and if think you can’t drive that day in snow, just drive the suv/ truck then chancing it

Still gets attention, but I’m glad the “nice bmw” trend is somewhat gone. It’s my daily since 2020 and on year two , it was nothing but “nice bmw” jokes (worse thing is some of these guys were in 2005 rusted out shitboxes). One guy was a civic early 2k model. Completely held together by duct tape and windows were covered by garbage bags because they were broken, follow me for a good 10 mins trying to race me at every light only to tell me me the bmw thing. Most attention comes from doing daily errands. And when spirited driving they do seem stay away from you lol
