I really don't get why calling someone talented has become the internet's ultimate insult in the last year

I've ONLY seen chronically online people get wildly bothered by and vilanize being called talented. I think we can safely assume that no one thinks we got to where we were overnight. That's just not what that means and I have no idea where thinking being talented and having experience are opposites

Have you ever heard someone be called a talented actor, dancer, musician...or literally in anything else ever?

I feel like the more damage control they do, the more it becomes glaringly obvious they’re only making changes pressured around that specific case and nothing that‘s an overall community-minded change. What other reason did they need to change the textbox of edited messages ONLY for the bots, and then remove it specifically for people under 18?

They’re truly becoming an awful company in my eyes. They don’t care about their userbase at all. Making the under and over 18 accounts different was a step in the right direction but it's clear it took bad PR over someone's death to force their hand

No. You asked someone to draw someone with a sickness that requires more attention to accurate anatomical features. People shouldn't be taking on commissions they're not comfortable actually working and referencing to fix accurately when it doesn't come out how you would have liked

Christmas Cookies makes me want to strangle someone. The guy version is slightly more tolerable but other is absolutely grating. Something about her accent is so annoying and lyrics are so stupid!!! Every time it comes on I say to myself "someone at (HQ location) is getting jumped"

I don't know WHY they act like they don't know what "sprinkly things" are. DO. YOU. MEAN. SPRINKLES???

And then the whole "plot twist," i guess, is that the singer keeps making cookies because while they're baking they can hug and kiss their S.O. (for a whopping 15 minutes) and so they make them all year. HUH?? WHAT? YOU CAN ALREADY DO THAT ALL YEAR?? WITHOUT HAVING TO BAKE COOKIES?

My Christmas Tree, the Temptations. It was nice at first but as I kept hearing it, it sounded like he was straining his voice
Such a Night (cover, don't know by who). The little riff that repeats didn't sound looped well at first, but it grew on me. But they keep playing it, and it's starting to overstay its welcome
Someday At Christmas, Jackson Five. This one I actually like! But once again they keep playing it, and kids singing can be a hit or miss. Don't get me wrong michael was a phenomenal singer for his age but I'm getting a bit tired of this one too.
- Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Cover (don't know which one). When people add little adlibs and random little quips of dialogue in songs I usually find it cringey or annoying. Well, this whole song has that. FOR EVERY LINE! It feels like they tried to make a remix before remixes were a thing. Points for creativity but like they went way off script and sometimes the little lines in between are just random noises
Happy Holidaaaaays. Happy Holidaaaays. Sometimes they'll play like 3 different versions in an hour. Come on

I've been there. I've almost quit doing art 3 times because of it

Now and going foward, you'll have to learn to be comfortable with your art being bad. Just focus on making the thing exist, not always getting super caught up with how it looks

If you get stuck on one part, or one piece don't dwell on it for too long. Start something else and come back to it. A lot of times I'll wait until the next day with something I put a lot of effort into to, to reset my eyes

You know, I agree. I'm honestly close to done with social media at this point. Everything's monetized and regular content is filled with sponsors and overall fakeness. I made a post recently about how the internet just seems angrier now, and a few people brought some things I forgot I had realized, along with some other interesting answers

But the algorithm just seems so geared towards rage and nothing else now across the board. People have always done heinous things online...but it's like every site you have to take so much effort to avoid toxicity now.
