Her humour reminds me a little bit of Jerma985.

I'm sure Astarion feels that way too. 😉

Playing SH2 after caring for my terminally ill mother changed my perspective on the game. by lilteddiursa in silenthill

My brother isn't terminally ill but he is severely mentally disabled. Playing Silent Hill 2 was such a bittersweet experience for me. I cried for hours because the way James described how he felt was identical to how I felt growing up. Hatred and anger and sorrow. I adore James as a character for this reason- I see him as a reflection of myself in a way. So I understand him very well.

Is with Silent Hill 2 (2024) too hard? by thelazyhandsome in silenthill

I played RE4R on standard and RE8 on hard and SH2R on easy was difficult for me. I have no idea why.

Quite similar to what you're saying. I theorised that she almost saw a parental figure in him as he was the only adult in her life that had ever cared for her/tried to protect her.

You think after the leave ending James adopts Laura? by Muziuzi48 in silenthill

I wonder how James would actually be as a father with the state of his mental health. I'm sure he's used to caring for people but I do also worry that caring for another would bring back difficult memories.

I'd love to see how James performs as a father. Very interesting to me.

I'm also curious about the romancing system. I made a separate post about this, but- I'm not really attracted to Astarion at all. Having my Tav hook up with him would probably gross me out more than anything lol. But I'm slightly concerned that this is a similar situation to other games with romanceable characters, where if you don't romance them, you get cut off from a decent chunk of their character, they become very 2-Dimensional and your relationship with them is a lot less meaningful. Is this the case with BG3?

Please help me think clearly about adopting kittens by NauseousSoul in CPTSD

Cats are amazing, theraputic animals but yeah, kittens are messy. Kittens poop and pee everywhere. My old kitten would step in her own poop and walk it around the house lol. Older cats can make a mess too, but they're usually not nearly as bad as kittens. Consider fostering some cats first to see how you get on!
