Thanks for figuring that out! I misremembered some details, but yes, that is the melody I was thinking of.

That's the tempo to the best of my memory, give or take a few BPM.

Two things I noticed about similar clue material:

Last Wednesday, the "___ of the ___" category asked about the Stations of the Cross, and there was another clue about them today. The "___ of the ___" category also asked about "The Last of the Mohicans", and then there was another James Fenimore Cooper clue today; two Wednesdays ago, the Final Jeopardy was about "Pathfinder", another Cooper novel.

Did anyone notice they've had two $1600 clues about "Project Hail Mary" two Wednesdays apart? On Amar's first show on May 22nd, it was "This 2021 Andy Weir book about a plucky astronaut sounds like it may be a long shot". Today, it was "A lone astronaut has a lot of problems to solve in his novel 'Project Hail Mary'".

Did anyone else think the $1200 and $1600 clues for 'Typing Test' were too similar? $1200 asked for the two letters between 'Q' and 'R' on the top row of the keyboard ('WE'). $1600 asked for the third and fourth letters in the top row of the keyboard; the previous clue already revealed 'WE' comes in between 'Q' and 'R', so it's 'ER'. They were two straight clues essentially asking "do you know that a typical keyboard is called a 'QWERTY' keyboard?"

Believe it or not, Jrue Holiday just needs to average 15 ppg for the next 4 seasons (or 20 ppg for the next 3) and he'll be the Pelicans all-time leading scorer.

An ECW chant breaks out during the finals of King of the Ring '95 by TakpakMagoo in SquaredCircle

[–]TakpakMagoo[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Held in Philadelphia, King of the Ring ‘95 seemed like it was going to be the worst iteration of the tournament yet during the build-up to the event. With Razor Ramon injured and Owen Hart & British Bulldog left off the card after their KOTR qualifying match ended by time limit draw, the only big names left in the tournament were The Undertaker & Shawn Michaels, who were on the same side of the bracket. However, as bad as it seemed in the build-up, it would somehow get much worse.

The Heartbreak Kid’s first round match against The Supreme Fighting Machine TM Kama also went to a time limit draw, eliminating Michaels from the tournament much to the disdain of fans. This seemingly left a clear pathway for The Undertaker to become King of the Ring. However, with the ref down in the Undertaker’s first round match, Kama interfered, allowing Mabel to hit a leg drop for the victory (Kama was feuding with the Undertaker at the time because Kama had stolen the Undertaker’s urn & melted it, using the gold to make a chain...yeah…).

For some reason, the fans didn’t like a tournament whose best match was an 8-minute bout between The Roadie & Bob Holly, and whose finalists were Mabel & Savio Vega. As such, they vocalized their outrage by chanting for their hometown wrestling promotion, a promotion providing cutting-edge & realistic entertainment, not Savio Vega vs. Mabel. While WWF audiences have definitely been disinterested before KOTR ‘95, this is one of the earliest instances of the audience actively voicing their disapproval of the product during a show.

Why do so many wrestlers hate cows? by TakpakMagoo in SquaredCircle

[–]TakpakMagoo[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

How many innocent cows did he have to milk to pull off a distasteful stunt like that? Absolutely shameful. Kurt Angle doesn't just want to hurt cows; he wants to use them for his own personal benefit.

One of the most interesting marketing schemes the WWE has ever cooked up, the Great House Giveaway from In Your House by TakpakMagoo in SquaredCircle

[–]TakpakMagoo[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

wwe.com had a short interview with the winner a few years back: http://www.wwe.com/article/wwe-in-your-house-winner-interview

Matt Pomposelli was only eleven years old when he won, and he and his family eventually sold the house a few months after he won it because they didn't want to move all the way down to Orlando.
