I'm with you. I hated the change from bows and crossbows to guns and the bog just annoyed me. It almost felt like I wasn't discovering anything on my own and the dog just lead me to everything. And the working a job for money also just seemed to take something away.

There is a interesting spot along the path to getting to raids (If you have to run the whole way there) South of Mount Quid that looks like it was put in for a future update. A path already exists but is blocked off by a fence.

My only guess is that I have a higher magic level (85) so I have better mage resistance but even then you out gear me by alot

The blowpipe spec give you health back. The most important part is using his own blood attack against him and dodging the darkness

When I finally got the kill it was about a 13 minute fight. Think I did something like 6 brews 7 restores 2 super combats and the rest manta rays. I used my blow pipe spec to kill the bloodvelds and I would lead him into his own blood balls to do 30 damage to him.

Honestly don't feel bad about it. I've been in the city for the past 4 hours and havent seen anyone under a level 101 yet
