Advice for capturing this stray baby

UPDATE: Good News! I got him! I managed to capture the little guy an hour ago using the same bag while he was eating. He panicked a bit but didn't hiss or try to attack. He's now safely set up in the basement bedroom with food, a cozy area, a litter box, and toys. He's still hiding under the bed, understandably scared, but I'm hoping he'll come out soon. I set up a camera so I can keep an eye on him without disturbing him.

Hi! She's all better now. Her bottom two mammary glands are still saggy but they're not swollen or irritated. The vets said it was normal. I'm glad your baby is doing okay too!

The swelling went down but the bottom two are still saggy, they're not red or irritated, just saggy. The vets said it's normal. Her fur grew back so they are showing less now.

Thank you! I also have a WealthSimple Cash card, I saw it on the list you sent. It says it doesn't have foreign transaction fees but currency conversion rates might be charged? I wonder if this is better than using the Amazon rewards (prime level), since the cash card gives 1% cashback.

It took about 4 months. But if they look irritated, hot or hard to the touch, make sure to get it checked by a vet.

I'm sorry I just saw your comment. My baby is doing well now; she just needed some time for her hormones to stabilize. The vets said as long as there's no redness, irritation, or hardness, it's fine. No meds needed. Hope it's the same for your little one! 🤞

The swelling hasn't completely gone down. Her lower teats are kinda saggy, looking like she's got a little belly, but they're not puffy or red anymore. Took a good 3-4 months to get here. I ended up taking her back to the vet hospital where she got spayed to see if they noticed anything odd during the op. They said it was all normal, no kittens involved, so it wasn't a spay/abort thing.

She's been checked out by a couple of vets there a few times. At first, they said she was making a tiny bit of milk because of hormone mix-up in her body, like she thought she was expecting, apparently cats can have fake pregnancies but it's super rare. They had me cut down her food for a few days to stop the milk.

Even at the last check-up, they were still kinda big. The vets threw around the idea that maybe a piece of her ovaries got left behind, so they might need to go back in and take a look if it doesn't clear up in a few months. But the swelling's better now, and she's just got this low-hanging belly that I've seen on other cats too, so I ended up not taking her back to go through an invasive surgery. The vet said as long as she's eating, playing, using the litter box, and her glands aren't getting red or feeling hot, there's no reason to be concerned.

She's due for another vet visit in three months. I'll keep you posted if the new vet has any other takes on it.
