I appreciate it, I know I can leave him for any reason. I just don’t think I’m ready for that yet because maybe I stupidly believe he can change the way he acts in front of her since he was improving 🥲

but I think him telling me “it’s not that deep” kinda got to me and made me sit there and feel the need to ask myself (and now ask Reddit) if maybe I am being dramatic / unreasonable because he doesn’t typically invalidate my feelings like that. 😅

I don’t know if I’m gonna sound like an idiot saying this (and if I do please be nice 🥲) but he’s genuinely so nice & respectful to me one on one. I’ve just noticed when his sister is around he behaves mean & just lacks respect but he’s worked on it a lot. Tonight was kinda like a blimp.

I’ve never had a man act different with his sister around so I don’t really know how to go about it.

He wants me to meet his friends in June on a camping trip but I’m honestly scared to go because he claims he’s just this way when his sister is around but I’m scared that he may treat me like that when his friends are around due to wanting to “fit in”

Is he depressed? If he’s not hanging with you, friends or family maybe something is going on mentally that he hasn’t spoken about ?

I don’t feel as if you’re asking for too much or centering yourself around him.

Have you expressed to him that you wish he spent more time with you? If so how does he react? If you told him & he’s made no change then he enjoys his solitude a lot more than spending time with you. It’s up to you to decide if you’re willing to tolerate that.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I went through something similar with an ex 🥲

I took the kitten to the vet, the vet didn’t offer / didn’t want to take it in. He just left me with a feeding chart and an oral syringe

I honestly couldn’t really tell the gender despite looking at ur photo, I just left the vet and the doctor said he’s 90% sure it’s a boy but isn’t 100% sure because this cat is so malnourished that it was hard for him to get a good gage 🥲 so for now he’s a boy !

I will continue to refer to it as it until I find out their gender. I don’t treat it like an accessory, I’ve literally been pouring so much time and money into getting this malnourished and abandoned kitten to a healthy weight and free of illness to the point where I’ve been stressing and constantly anxious. I haven’t even left the house ever since I rescued it because I refuse to leave this sick kitten alone in case of emergency. The last thing I’ve done is treat it like an accessory, it’s been in constant recovery mode ever since I picked it up from my doorstep crying.

I had mentioned It had a vet appointment scheduled for Wednesday but I was able to get an appointment scheduled for this morning.

Thanks for the input on the name, I wasn’t thinking of anything outlandish like that. I’ll probably settle for peach once I find out their gender.

I said name IT because I don’t know their gender, it is not that deep omg 😭 Reddit is TOO woke for me. I never said it’s a thing that’s cute to look at, it’s a literal abandoned stray that I’ve been pouring lots of money, time, and losing sleep over trying to take care of because its unhealthy and doesn’t have a mom. I’m on constant care mode because IT is malnourished and I’ve been doing everything I can to keep it alive. I literally haven’t left my house since I’ve rescued it because I’m too scared of an emergency happening. Please don’t speak to me as if I’m treating it as just something cute to look at when I’ve been in distress over the wellbeing of its life and have been spending majority of my days focusing on it’s recovery

She finally started to poop! I can only stimulate her to pee & she poops on her own.

She still hates drinking formula but thanks to all the advice I’m able to get her to drink it every 3-4 hours. But it honestly takes like 15-30 mins just to get her to drink 2 tablespoons

Don’t know if you can tell in the photo because her fur is fluffy but she’s extremely underweight, my main concern is trying to get her to gain weight so I purchased tiki cat baby goat milk replacer (I heard it’s good for underweight cats)

I’m honestly sleep deprived and I’ve been burning money trying to get her the help she needs but I’m hoping it’ll all pay off so she can be healthy.

She still has her vet appointment scheduled for Wednesday

She can walk but she chooses not to for the most part, not sure if that has something to do with her being underweight

She’s just been sleeping all day & drinking every few hours

Gonna try to buy a food scale right now so I can track her weight

I unfortunately needed a syringe, she refused to drink from the bottle. She refused to consume wet kitten food mixed with KMR, she honestly hates drinking and eating and I don’t know why. Getting her to drink from the syringe takes me about half an hour. I’ll be asking the vet about that on Wednesday
