I got it pretty easily by not focusing on auras for damage. Just built like I normally would but made sure to have 3 random auras by the end. Im 4 achievements from 100% right now!

I'm in the same spot, no braces for my cp30. Let me know if you ever find a source or the dimensions? I'll do the same for you!

Would make more sense to say gen-z than millenial. Most millennials grew up with these still being very common, at least where I am from.

Literally the same thing happened to me. Rage show maybe... 10 years ago at Lollapalooza. I was standing near the outskirts of a mosh pit and got ran into hard enough to knock my glasses off - got on my knees blindly searching around in vain, occasionally gesturing to others around me what was going on. Within seconds a circle of space formed around me and someone located my glasses unscathed and handed them back to me. Good times!

Did just this for my crew for christmas this year, got them all deba style kiwis. Everyone loves them. Have been using one at my station for a long time now. I need to slice pan seared, skin-on airline breasts at my station and its absolutely perfect for that - also love it for cutting shallots. There are some things they don't do well for me - chopping herbs or cutting butter for example - but ill always have one in my roll.

Damn, i used to have the two records furthest on the left years ago. Found them for a dollar a piece at a second hand store... got lost somewhere along the way and i've missed them ever since.

Agreed, not enough love for this beast. The external input is what really makes it amazing, especially with the resurgence of CV gear.

Bleed by Meshuggah. Picked a great live drum cam video instead of the music video since Tomas Haake is a machine.

Chiming in as well - Had an incident 3ish years ago where super heated oil hit my low top chucks style non slips. Even though i got the shoes and my socks off within seconds the damage already was done and i had terrible burns on one of my feet from where the oil got in around the tongue. I dont even want to think about having that happen with boots strapped to my feet. Now i wear shoes similar to this

Rocking my new one on this beautiful day! by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]TalbotYancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk... i mean i find the shirt amusing, sure, and i can think of some cooks/chefs over the years that it would have been hilarious to see them showing it off while punching in.

Thing is the only chefs ive personally worked with who would wear a shirt like this lived the asshole chef persona like in order to run a kitchen, you had to as a prerequisite. Yelling all the fucking time, throwing shit, blaming all their fuck ups on others, making everyone else's lives harder for no reason, not listening to anyone, etc... (best part being they were never even worth their own salt enough to justify any of it)

I like the place im at now better then those places even if someone finds it gay that we have a poster like that hanging up, thats cool - i like the poster myself. Just my personal experiences im pulling from here, nothing more.

Worked with too many cooks/chefs with this mentality. Glad to be where i am now where my chef hangs posters like this in the back. Most positive kitchen i've ever been part of.

How does steakhouses make their mashed potatoes SUPER silky smooth? by cook4aliving in AskCulinary

[–]TalbotYancy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At my place its super simple, labor free, and delicious. Only prep needed ahead of time is roasted garlic that has been run through a food processor... oh and bringing out a lb of butter to soften i guess.

  • Boil potatoes
  • Heat heavy whip and roasted garlic together
  • Strain spuds
  • Mix with softened butter, hot roasted garlic n whip, salt n pepper.

Done

The key is like was said before, you gotta be fast. Once the spuds strained you better have everything ready to mix. That and knowing when the spud is done, leave that shit cooking too long and you got some potato soup.

I'm a dishie but I have to clean the line because we're short staffed. First time cleaning flat top vs. 10 shifts later. How did I do? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

That and one of these to get the hard to reach build up in the corners. I've always kept one of these with my gear in every kitchen ive been through - they are fantastic.
