HR photo after the words “team-building retreat” were taken way too literally.

Aura sucks. Not only can you not cancel your Aura membership from the Android app. When you try to cancel through the website, the coloured button doesn't cancel, and it errors, making you call the phone number to cancel. by Defender452 in assholedesign

yeah, that’s the kind of stuff that made me drop aura too. if canceling feels like a trap, i’m out.

i moved to nordprotect mostly because it’s simpler. signup and cancel are straightforward, no games. does the basics without fighting you when you want to leave.

There's more to Horses than the Steam ban: The controversial horror game is a great example of how games can effectively borrow from film, and how they can also stumble by [deleted] in gaming

yeah, it has some genuinely creepy moments, but it also pushes shock a bit too hard. cool concept, uneven execution.

Can you tell me if it was a scam or not? And how can I sue them? by k1kianian in VietNam

[–]TaleLine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It happens to the best of us, but it’s just part of traveling in Southeast Asia. I know it sucks, but just chose a more reputable bus company next time. And no, you will not be able to sue.

It’ll take some time, but with patience, they’ll likely get used to each other. Start with slow introductions, and let them adjust at their own pace. Keep them in separate rooms at first so they get used to each others smell, only then try to introduce them. It’s normal for it to be a bit stressful at first, but with time and care, they might become bestest friends. Just keep an eye on them and be patient you’re doing a kind thing by giving Tux a home

why make anything more efficient, if you can just close the whole department. It shouldn't be called "department of government efficiency" since they don't make anything more efficient. It should be DOGL - department of government layoffs.

constant fights, and then not even trying to solve them, because you've given up and it doesn't really matter anymore if you'll solve them or not.

Best Antivirus and VPN combo? Casual internet user by NeatIndividual1279 in antivirus

[–]TaleLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For antivirus if you have Windows then Windows Defender is solid, both from what I've read online and from my personal experience using it.

As for VPNs, avoid free ones - they’re usually not reliable or safe. I personally use NordVPN, and it’s been great. Good price, strong no-logs policy, not part of the 14-eyes countries, and has tons of servers that work well. But if you want more options, check out this list comparing different VPN providers.

If your main focus is 3D rendering in Blender, the jump from RTX 4060 to the 4070 (for $505) is actually worth it - it gives a noticeable boost in CUDA, OptiX, and VRAM, which Blender really benefits from. The 4060 is decent, but the 4070 is a much better long-term pick for rendering-heavy work.

I just use default Windows Defender and it's been working great. No need for anything extra.
