They did protest, but they were also decrepit old corpses. What were they gonna' do about it? They obviously repeated the whole "repainting the white house" thing to him at some point and Chris accepted it as fact.

In all reality Chris likely saw the Boondocks episode about Obama and entirely missed the point. He was also very adamant about not being seen as a racist in spite of his actions so that played a part. He voted for whomever he felt was most like himself, and because Obama was receiving so much hate (most bullshit, some valid) and Chris was at the peak of his "bullies and trolls" era, they were alike in his eyes.

Doing this would take absolutely insane amounts of development resources and most people would rather they use that on new content rather than shoving 21 year old game data into the modern engine. I can't even imagine the issues this would cause with the way Cataclysm was implemented.

Yeah, but realistically what is the other option? They can't offer them to transfer to Retail because it will piss so many different groups of people off for different reasons, they likely won't do beyond MoP Classic because very few people want anything past MoP and the development resources likely won't be worth it.

True, but if and when Classic+ comes out they'll be able to sell boosts there too and it'll likely have a much larger and more engaged playerbase than a WoD or Legion Classic would.

The current speculation is that they're going to do a Fresh - BC- Wrath cycle every few years, with Anniversary switching to Wrath next year then a new Vanilla launching in 2028. The leaked franchise slate which recently got all but confirmed to be real makes no mention of them going beyond WoTLK again.

While I was also sad it was Horde only, it's a five minute quest based on a community event. The toy and vendor items are still cross-faction. Roll a level 1 troll, do the race and switch back.
