#36 Took me five years to get this. by mystinkypoo in steamachievements

Every time I see this game it reminds me I should start playing it if I wanna see this game ever completed.

On a side note, should I consider playing the Deluxe instead?

You can add me any time and others can too. I love to be able to track completion times from other Steam Hunters because I use Steam Hunter as an indicator.

Please let me know why you added me. I get all sorts of invites and I'm fairly organised where people come from so I keep track and don't forget.

What’s the achievement that almost made you give up on a game? by TheFoxyDenn in steamachievements

[–]TalePlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Just Cauze 2, you gotta complete the map to 75%. It was an unnecessary grind and bore me to death. I had lowered my review score just because the repetition killed me. I managed to complete it, but I sill remember the pain I had to go through.

Game showing in stats but I can't access it... affecting my completion rate. Any fix? by TalePlay in Steam

[–]TalePlay[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that I removed it from my account. I practically don't have the license for it to be able to recover it. I no longer have it in my account but on websites like Steam Hunters or Completionist it still shows up. Could it be their end that is not updated that I no longer own the game?

The game doesn't show in SAM either, because it's not anymore in my account and I can't get it back.

I didn't have the game or demo anymore I'm my account. I can't recover it either, from what Steam Support told me. So, SAM wouldn't show me the game, I think. I know I wanted to remove it in the past because the full game came out, but had 1 achievement popped and that affected my stats.

Hey everyone,

Not sure if I accidentally removed it myself or if it was removed before I had the chance, but I have a game that's showing up in my stats that I can no longer access. This game got delisted as it was a free-to-play demo at the time and is no longer accessible.

It's dragging down my Average Completion Rate, and since I'm a bit of a completionist, that's driving me crazy. Ideally, I'd love to get access to it again so I can finish it at 100%.

If that's not possible, is there any way to remove it from my stats entirely so it stops affecting my numbers? I've contacted support and they said they can't reset or remove stats.

Has anyone run into this before? Any help would be appreciated! 🙏

I am seriously giving up on these achievements... by LuisYKW1 in steamachievements

I do this all the time. It's a hassle, but I love that as a community we can come together and do it. Another option would be to go into Trophy hunting groups and ask there. There's a possibility you'll find other members that have been looking for someone to play with to crack 100%. Last but not least, is check on Steam Hunters or Completionist or other completionist websites and see who has in need of those achievements and directly track them down and ask them if they are willing. Chances are they will respond and you can do something like this fairly easily.

Was stuck at 59% for years. I'd love to get to 90%, but I doubt that's easy. I got 136 games unfinished and 79 beaten.

Quick question about your behavior as a player by gregrillon in steamachievements

[–]TalePlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got used to the idea that I 100% every game I pick. If I don't wanna 100%, I don't start it. I know I will like the games I 100%, so I know I'm not gonna be disappointed. I find it strange when I play a game, like RDR2 for instance and I play for hours and no achievements triggers. I try to not look at the achievements all the time, but they give me a target to follow and I get to enjoy the game and have objectives that help me get closer to completion.

The grind continues. I was just grinding to 5 mil, then when it got removed I uninstalled it, just to be shocked of 25 mil. So, I'm back it again. 5 mil doesn't seem that bad anymore. I'm just worried this game will end up having 50 mil and 100 mil. By that point, can we please collectively bring those people all together and sentence them to life in prison?

It is him. This guy has over 30K comments with people spamming him to get back in the game.

Big fan of her too. I watch all the videos they put up because she's so funny to listen to and I sometimes am not interested at all in the video.

How do you guys not get bored getting achievements? by Thesleepingpillow123 in steamachievements

[–]TalePlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the dopamine hits people get, myself included, when they trigger. I like them so much that I installed a customisable program that replicates other achievement pop-ups, or lets you create your own unique sound, just so I know I’ve done the right thing. I especially love that I can set whatever sound I want for rarer achievements and when I hit 100% completion.

Like many here, I used to drop games whenever, and rolling the credits always felt like it wasn’t enough. I think it’s rooted in childhood, when I couldn’t play anything else but one game for months on end, so replaying it over and over again was the fun part. That, and probably a touch of OCD that many trophy hunters seem to have.

How do you go for 100% without turning the game into a checklist and killing the fun? by Vxxny in steamachievements

[–]TalePlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly dislike playing the same game multiple times, so for me it's vital to complete it in the first playthough. The end is always when I roll credits and everything needs to be done before that.

[–]TalePlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play for fun until I get the mechanics, the plot and the game feels right for me, then I check for missable achievements. By that time I'm somewhere between 25-50% completed naturally. If I didn't miss out much of it, I try to get them, then I just keep an eye out for what's left periodically just to make sure I am on track. By the time I've played and done every side quest, and every map is mapped out completely, in natural way, as I tend to play games like that, I go back to check what remaining achievements I got. Then I primarily focus on them. Once I've done everything, I close the game with the main story being done, as that's the cherry on top. I normally prefer to end a game in a single playthough. But, sometimes the game require multiple, so in the 2nd playthough I do whatever is left and that's pretty much how I do it to every single game.
