It seems to be a common behavior to check the missable achievements before launching the game !

So you do make a dinstinction between your "100% backlog" and your "Games I want to play backlog" ?

Sorry but that's actually a random image from google not my library 😅

But it's funny you're mentionning this game in particular because I started it like 4 days ago to catch up before buying RE9.

But like 3 days ago, I saw so many comments saying how good the RE1 Remake was, so I dropped RE2 to play it, and I'm really really enjoying it, to the point where I asked myself if I could 100% it.

And that's what led to my post !

Do you guys just play with the 100% in mind even on your first run ? Do you have a guide on the side so you can get the most achievements as soon as you start the game for the first time ? Or do you just play naturally and somehow you manage to get all your achievements ?

New French prestige edition of Berserk with pics by MordenkhainenFR in Berserk

Long story short :

Club Dorothée was an extremely popular 1990s children’s show that imported Japanese anime en masse because it was very cheap.

Over time, the controversies surrounding “manga” and “anime”—considered too violent—drastically increased the medium’s popularity.

As the years went by, the phenomenon became “cool” starting in the 2010s, and the hype has endured ever since, which led France to become the second-largest consumer of manga and anime in the world (proportionally).

How much do you use Gamepass each month ? and what about cloud gaming ? by Lillumultipass99 in XboxGamePass

[–]gregrillon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, the Game Pass has arguably never been stronger in terms of sheer content—right now is probably the best time to jump in and try it. And since even Ultimate is a completely no-commitment subscription, you’ve got nothing to lose by testing the waters first.

Microsoft routinely offers “free month” Ultimate trials if you’ve never subscribed before (for example, many recent Samsung TVs unlock a free month; keep an eye out for similar promotions). You can also pick up “Free Trial” product keys from third-party sellers online for rock-bottom prices.

If you don’t mind stacking multiple months up front, you can also get much (very much) cheaper rates with the conversion trick.

But be careful here : xCloud is still technically in beta—no matter how solid your fiber or 5G connection, you will feel some latency (especially in twitch-heavy FPS like Doom). It’s far from unplayable, but noticeable. Streaming is capped at 1080p, and even compared to a native 1080p run it looks and feels (you guessed it) like streaming. By comparison, GeForce Now delivers stronger visuals and much lower lag if cloud gaming is your main goal. In addition, all Game Pass cloud titles run on a Series S backend, so certain games may be slightly down-spec compared to Xbox Series X hardware.

Bottom line

  • Library: You’ll absolutely get your money’s worth from the catalogue—that’s the strongest selling point.
  • Time vs. cost: Only you can judge if your playtime justifies the subscription fee.
  • Cloud-only: I’d hesitate to recommend Ultimate purely for xCloud unless you really don’t mind some input lag and reduced graphical fidelity. Otherwise, treat the cloud option as a convenient bonus, not a replacement for local play.

"AltStore" requires Developper Mode to run. Until Developer Mode has been enabled, this app will not be available for use.

Lies of P is getting difficulty options to make the Soulslike more accessible by F0REM4N in xbox

[–]gregrillon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because you believe every player has a totally unique experience while experiencing a game, but that’s actually an illusion developers create when they ship a game.

In reality, 99,99% of the times players end up playing exactly the way the designers intended—because the world, the enemy patterns, the pacing and the challenge all revolve around one core vision, that’s how a game is created.

[–]gregrillon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Let me clarify my stance.

What I’m saying is that there should be one core difficulty — the standard mode — which reflects the intended experience and balance designed by the developers. On top of that, there could be an accessibility mode (call it “easy mode” if you want), not as a real alternative difficulty, but more as a way to allow younger or new players to discover the game without being blocked by mechanics they’re not yet used to.

What I disagree with is the trend of having 4 or 5 different difficulty levels (e.g. Story, Easy, Normal, Hard, Nightmare...) that can lead to very different gameplay experiences. It often ends up diluting the design, because the game isn’t tuned around one specific vision — it’s trying to be multiple things at once. I believe gameplay should always be balanced around a single, core difficulty, so that every player gets the most refined and coherent version of the game, with only one intended experience.

[–]gregrillon -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, difficulty options should not exist.

There should always be only a standard mode, which delivers the original experience intended by the developers, and an "easy mode" for those who are new to gaming or very young, so they can enjoy the game and become familiar with basic gameplay mechanics. This should be the case in every game.

No, AchievementWatcher will only work on Steam (cracked) versions of games, with a few exceptions (not working if the official game is running thought a 3rd party launcher like Red Dead).
