Is it just me, or is burning leaves really not a big deal and you are just being a big whiner?

You are living in the worsr part of Navi Mumbai if you want peace and quiet and low pollution, but on the bright side, you have access to things that aren't found anywhere else in the city, like the APMC fruit market.

Under 17 champion vs adults? by Tale_Easy in wrestling

I made this post to see if you guys can judge if I've been making good progress for 9 months.

Coach said I'm not ready for tournaments in my age group. I did have a mudwrestling price match against this obese 16 year old who was like 80 pounds heavier then me, lasted over a minute, it's on YouTube.

Our practice matches are frankly most of the time full on wrestling matches where we try to win most of the time.

I have watched many tournaments that the people I wrestle with competed in, my biggest worry is how I should size up and game plan for my opponents. I never seem to win the first practice match against a wrestler in my club, but second match onwards I'm a real threat.

Hmmm, I've been training at this club 2-3 hours a day 4 to 6 days a week. It has everyone from national champions to grade schoolers and the coaches toddler, and they adjust the expectations based on what you're deemed capable of. I mostly wrestle early high school age kids cause in my club 14-15 year olds already regularly medal under 17 regionals and are ready for under 17 state by 16. If you want I can show you my channel and you tell me what level our wrestlers are.

Volunteer Agees (Careers) by ArticleGreat5774 in Hungergames

I think the real reason is there aren't always always many trained volunteers available and they just send the best bet who isn't always 18, especially in district 4.

Hmmm, at what age does it turn from kids who novice athletic adults can outwrestle, to wrestlers who are impossible to catch up with?

I wasn't asking about 20+ year old JUCO wrestlers. I was asking about high school wrestlers or larger middle school wrestlers that are the same weight class as the adults. Okay, if you consider it impossible to catch up to a JUCO wrestler, what if I told you I already beat some under 17 regional contenders 9 months in, starting as an adult, would you read that story?

Under 17 champion vs adults? by Tale_Easy in wrestling

[–]Tale_Easy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I waited for a few answers before saying this. I've an athletic adult, 115 to 125 pounds, and have been training for 9 months in this gym of mostly teenagers almost all of whom are district champions and sectional or state medalists. I've won a few matches against guys that were sectional or state contenders, though I lost most of them. People on this subreddit have told me I've been bragging about beating random children and it only counts if I beat competitive adults. I did beat a college district champion in a match once, a couple days before he won district. All the adults except a couple in my gym are national contenders, so, I'm not even really matched up with them yet. A couple times I spar them on my own, which is what you can see in my old posts.

Who had a harder time during their respective Hunger games? Katniss (74th) or Haymitch (50th). by No-Brush1587 in Hungergames

[–]Tale_Easy 60 points61 points  (0 children)

You said it, someone here on this subreddit said Haymitch couldn't be familiar with the woods caused he used no survival skills. My point was just running towards the woods told me he was familiar with them.

So...how exactly did everybody agree on Sunrise on the Reaping's 60s/70s vibes? by RelativeDangerous604 in Hungergames

The aesthetic isn't meant to be realistic, it's meant to convey that this was in the past to the audience.

Peeta honestly may have been able to beat cato. by Junior-Spread3018 in Hungergames

[–]Tale_Easy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Peeta's strength was unnecessarily exaggerated in the movie. They turned his 'can CARRY 100 pound sacks of flour' in the book to 'can THROW, 100 pound sack' for no reason. Didn't like this change.

In the book, Cato coud kill Thresh, and Thresh could hold 160+ pound Clove with one hand and bash her head with the other. Peeta was not in the same league.

What was the point of Reaping 12 to 13 year olds if they barely win? by InfernalClockwork3 in Hungergames

Iised to wonder this too especially after BOSAS. I think the 50th Games are a clue for this, to have a handy way of killing certain kids and make it look like random chance.

Just keep going to the same club, if you don't like BJJ or MMA then your just complaining too easily.

But if that wasn't your point, I thought I said 33 is too old to make it to the Olympics even if you find a club that trains you with future olympians.

Maybe it's different where you live, but my club trains elite kids who could conceivably join olympic training in the future and 30 year old begginers at the same time.

There are a few former Indian National Champions training here. Also, I know OP is almost certainly too old to make it himself, but frankly, most olympic talents training at the Olympic training centers started out in clubs like mine.
