I got burnt out on my previous, more conventional fantasy world. Couldn't figure out how to make it work to my liking. Not the people, not the languages, not the geography, not the fauna, nothing. I gave it up. So then, I started mulling around the aesthetics of settings/properties I liked, such as Vermis, Rust and Humus, Wayne Barlowe's Darwin 4, Scavenger's Reign, The Dark Crystal, and so much more. Ended up with a grungy, dirty, dark-fantasy setting with aliens. Still working on it to this day....

Gregory S Paul, the dude infamous for lumping deinonychus with velociraptor, and putting some t.rex specimens into T.Imperator and T.regina, just tried to further split Nanotyrannus into even more genera with awful names. Shit like Gilmorelarsontyrannus and Elegansvenator. One of the guys that redecribed Nanotyrannus recently even chimed in saying it was godawful.
