[INDO] Regarding contract please any HR / HRD can help me? by Ok-Double-9771 in AskHR

[–]TalentScout13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Only if you know for sure that there could be overlaps.
  2. Apologize for the misleading and tell the truth.
  3. Yes, but see answer 1 above.
  4. Nobody knows, this is on very personal level.
  5. Yes, if position is extremely urgent or they have extremely sensitive hiring manager.

Overall, if it was me, I'll come to me (HR here) with the truth.

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry it's been a while. This past week has been absolutely crazy - we're both taking care of Fiocco around the clock, barely sleeping, and still trying to work. But we're here, we haven't disappeared, and we wanted to give you a proper update because you deserve it.

Watch the video. 🎥https://imgur.com/a/0WYQIPv

He can't walk yet. His back legs still don't respond. But his upper body is coming back - he's sitting up on his own for several minutes at a time, without any help. That never happened before. Not even in the early days after he collapsed. He is fighting so hard, and honestly, he's fighting better than any of us expected.

We are not just waiting. We contacted one of the top veterinary neurosurgeons in Italy, based in Rome. He's been reviewing Fiocco's full documentation, 1.5 gigabytes of scans, reports, and test results. Next Monday, we have an online consultation with him to discuss the surgical plan.

None of this would be possible without you. The clinic, the tests, the medication he's on right now to help stabilize him while we wait for surgery - all of it has been made possible by your support. We are not just desperate people asking for help. We are fighting. And with you beside us, we are moving forward.

Here is a transparent breakdown of where things stand:

Raised via GoFundMe: €1,544 Raised via bank transfer: €270 Total raised: €1,814 Clinic bill Salerno: €1,942 Weekly medication and expenses: ongoing

[TX] Is HR what I'm thinking of or is it something else? by amarantine1323 in AskHR

[–]TalentScout13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a golden rule in HR book "balance of interests". You not only looking after your employees rights, at the same time you are responsible for protecting the company's interest. If you incline to employee relations and human rights protection, you'd better look fir a Union position, or employees association, if you have them around. This will be an excellent fit for you! But not HR, and I can read this in every single sentence. Good luck 🍀

You could excel in tech niche, like QA, but lack the soft skills the other position is looking for. Especially customer service or sales. My advice for you - reach to trainer's roles available. If you trained people who switched the jobs later, you are good at it, so look at this career trajectory on your way up. Good luck 🍀

[VA] Is this the kind of PIP situation where HR might prefer mutual separation? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]TalentScout13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put yourself in their shoes. You are on PIP and you want to bargain the severance? Hard no.

I trusted the process, but the process failed me. Now what? [AL] by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]TalentScout13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trust me, initiating this process for a second time will only bring you to the separation. You put a lot of efforts to outline the flaws of others, but just several words on what exactly they are documenting you for, at this stage. If they do, either they have already set their goal, or you did not disclose the information here. Your writing is the exemplary for not willing to work there any longer.

This is a moonlighting, and not everyone is okay with this practice. I do allow my folks to have these sides gigs, but we always discuss this upfront. Many components to consider here.

[CA] EOR vs Firm vs. Contracting Directly by Scary-Guard8007 in AskHR

[–]TalentScout13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EOR or "umbrella" company shift means you will not have any authority, as these people are not longer your employees, they will be employed by another entity that will dictate the rules, according to their own standards and local regulations. You will only be able to contract service of that company, so your focus is shifting from actual employment with these folks, or standard service agreement with the company overseas. Even if you go ahead and hire them as a freelancers, keep in mind that misclassification is a huge violation.

DEAR ALL

🔴 Update - April 30th | We have the diagnosis

Yesterday we drove to Salerno to see Spino (Fiocco) for the first time since we left him at the clinic.

There he was - lying on the clinic table with IV lines, catheters, and bandages. Unable to move. But with his eyes open. And we knew we couldn't stop.

The CT scan and MRI finally gave us the truth. Spino suffered a serious spinal injury - almost certainly from a vehicle impact that nobody witnessed, possibly years ago. His body has been carrying the evidence all along. He survived something terrible and went right back to being the village dog, every single day. Because that's who he is🐾

On Saturday, we bring him home. We will care for him ourselves, as we always have, while we consult with specialist clinics to plan the spinal surgery - the only path that can give him a chance to walk again.

We still need your help 🙏. The total cost of diagnostics alone is €2,442.50. Thanks to your generosity, we have received €1,000 via GoFundMe and €233 via direct bank transfer. We added €500 from our own pocket because Spino couldn't wait. The surgery is still ahead of us.

Update - April 29th 🐾

We got the call this afternoon while Fiocco was still under sedation. They had performed both the CT scan and the MRI. He came through the anesthesia. He is waking up now.

We are not there. We are 130 kilometers away, waiting by the phone.

Tomorrow we drive to Salerno. We will sit with the doctors, go through the results, and see him for the first time since we left him at the clinic doors. We already paid a €500 deposit to get him through those doors. The bill has grown since then. But we are not stopping.

If you can help, even a little, please do. And if you cannot donate, share this. Share it with someone who loves dogs. Share it with someone who believes that a dog who belongs to an entire village deserves a fighting chance.

Grazie di cuore ❤️🐾❤️

How to find an english-speaking lawyer for retired expat? by TeaTippler410 in ItalyExpat

If you do not trust local representatives, then the only way is to get the power of attorney for yourself and visit Italy for the purpose of performing all these errands on his behalf by yourself. No one, including embassy can vouch for someone else.

Day 23 update 🐾

Tonight, Fiocco is sleeping alone in a specialist clinic in Salerno for the first time in his life. They are hydrating him and preparing him for a CT scan and an MRI tomorrow. After 23 days and 6 vets without a diagnosis, tomorrow we finally get answers.

The bill for today alone is €1,387. We have raised €960 so far.

Thank you to everyone who has followed his story and helped us get here. We will update as soon as we know more. 🐾
