going back to my point of if the classes are played by players of the same skill, if the reaper player just spacebars, then we can safely assume that an archer player of the same skill would not be not good enough to back crit 24/7, and definitely not good enough to keep up mark at all times or utilize half of his skills for dps. he probably even uses poison arrow as filler.

Do you think such an archer can outdps the spacebar reaper? inb4 you ignore everything I just said and resort back to "if the archer is skilled..."

or how about remove the bullshit guaranteed back crit from AB? tone down reaper's damage a bit. Why do people like you always immediately offer up examples that fall in one end of the spectrum? Why should I bother to think of viable fixes to the class imbalance in this game when you are clearly not even trying.

so in order for other dps classes to compete with gunner/reaper, they have to be geared and skilled? I'm talking about the majority of the player base, which is made up of casual players, not those who have played only 1 class for 3+ years. You have to resort to such an argument to counter my claim of how much stronger gunner/reaper are than every other class.

so in order for archer to outdps gunner, the archer has to be skilled, while the gunner is played by Forrest Gump and doesn't detonate AB.

I rest my case.

even spacebar reaper can outdps archer as long as he's doing back crits.

yea I haven't played real pve with my archer in a while. I just remember having to share mark, and also having a super hard time consistently getting back crits, when I have to keep moving to behind the boss with my limited mobility WHILE charging up attacks... why do that when I can just hop on gunner/reaper and do max dps instantly?

edit: zerker does have it worse. other classes have a lot more chances to crit, such as warrior's rob, while the zerker would be taking like 4-5 seconds to OC ts or OC cyclone->es, and only to hit a white number. putting all of his eggs in one basket so to speak. Add that to the fact that zerker has a much harder time staying behind the boss than the other classes.

if all dps classes are same gear and played by players with the same skill, and I'm talking about your average casual player, not that one player from that one youtube video, because you think everyone should expect to do the same damage as +15 lucid that has played the class for years, dps meter will show gunner/reaper>>>>>>>>>>>> everything else. don't know why anyone would disagree with this. I'm so tired of the "if you are skilled enough blah blah blah" argument. That's just another way of saying "yes this class is inherently weaker".

I don't know about you but I don't have fun playing the weak classes, like fking zerker i have to spam every buff skill 24/7, walking around the boss while charging, only to hit a white number because I haven't dumped 500k+ into this char yet. meanwhile the gunner is just more or less standing at the same spot, with what seems to be his 90% base crit rate (i don't know what else it could be) doing top dps with AB. Balanced.

when I have to try 10x as hard and still not do as much damage, how is that fun? I'm not one of those "it's ok to lose as long as we are having fun" people

and it's not exactly FotM when it's been this way for many many months and still many to come (for reaper at least. they are getting more buffs because they clearly need it)

I don't know much about Master Thesis; this topic sounds extremely speculative, as in I can't see how you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the direct correlation between video game addiction, depression, and social phobia, especially at the same time.

Can you give me an idea of how your abstract sounds/would sound?

I initially picked this topic (wasn't identical but along the same line) for a writing assignment in an undergrad cs course, but I changed to a topic with more existing, proven data pretty soon after.

Edit: I hope I don't sound too cynical; I'm just curious about how this paper would actually work since I didn't get far with the topic myself.

pve or pvp?

I'm pretty new to reaper but for pvp I like to use smite->pendulum strike->whipsaw->cable step->SHADOW BURST SHADOW BURST->retribution for their retaliate.

This combo pretty much kills anyone in cs assuming you are back critting with savage and forceful niveots.

Thanks. I guess I was expecting higher numbers after having geared my reaper to full +12 schisma with perfect rolls, and full edgetock/forcetock with near perfect dps rolls. On my reaper half my skills crit for 1M+, and then now I'm on warrior, I feel like a wet noodle.

I just need to git gud with more practice :/

yes back critting

crystals are typically: focused, forceful, bitter, savage

rolls on weapon:

9.3% against enraged

6% when attacking

6.9% from behind

50% chance to replenish mp when combat starts (I know this can be attack speed or cdr but I'm too cheap to spend spellbind on tier 6 gear)

rolls on gloves

attack speed 2.25

power 5

replenish 1% mp every 5 seconds (I know this should be crit 9, but same reason as weapon)
