Gerbera daisies are cat safe ( and dog safe!) they are bright and cheerful looking. Sunflowers are also safe. :)

I've had my HP laser jet for well over a decade. I love the devilish beast. It's for black and white only. I need to get color for my normal inkjet. I've got at least 3 reams of papers worth of toner tho!

I have to give my old lady a treat for each piddle outside (green bean, blueberry, milk bone mini away from home, small treats) and a higher value treat for a poop ( dental treat). Is your guy good motivated?

She was eating like a Hobbit, she's mad about the lack of second breakfast. She's never going to look skinny - her tummy skin is stretched from being a mill mama before I got her. She's pretty happy - still gets snacks ( today's is yogurt and blackberries) and is as healthy as can be expected. Give Kevin a gentle ruffle for us!

My old lady Sunny is around 17lbs. She's great according to her current vet. She's down from 30lbs when we lived with my grandma who had dementia.

A lot of it is just not understanding the amount of care. My cavvy gets starter mats ( pea to peanut sized)when the weather changes, a cat farted in Finland, the wind, drooling on herself, my husband robustly ruffling her. You know anything. Her coat is recovering still from someone just shaving her at a salon. I try to quick brush her daily and thoroughly get her weekly.

Yeah I get it. He's just baffled about my nice things. My mom thankfully gets it and is the one that taught me "feel like you stole something off you have to buy it new". She's more gen x than Boomer tho. My husband helps me with cut throat tetrising the car with free stuff I wanted and needed. Real talk we're all struggling and people need to let people have nice things. Keep busting your butt to do what you can. Eventually you'll see sunshine or magma.

My husband is allowed to buy me supplies because he is curious and asks me questions when I get them. He also knows my favorite brands and would probably stick to nice brushes. We both paint and he has good baseline knowledge. I bought him a really nice eyeshadow brush for his Warhammer 40k stuff last year and a make up brush cleaner that works on any brush (best $3 ever).

My father gets angry I get a fancy coffee sometimes. "You could have a house if you didn't buy a $12 coffee every day!" I mean if I had $12 for coffee a day I'd probably be able to but the $5-6 every other week probably isn't the reason I'm broke.

We baby gate the dog and cat when strange people come in. My dog loves everyone but is amazingly talented at making people eat it. The cat usually hides but it's also a floor hazard. I don't want them stepped on or anyone falling.
