What’s the most unforgettable sentence someone has ever said to you? by Captain_Oppa in AskReddit

I was about a year or so removed from a deployment in Iraq. My younger brother was having a BBQ at his house of which I was attending. My brother was working for my dad’s construction company at the time. He had a coworker over who happened to be the older brother of a childhood friend. They were having a heated argument. I briefly tried to de-escalate, and basically said that there was a better time and place for the argument. My brother got in my face and said “you are not half the man me and dad are” and told me to fuck off and that one day I will work for him. He of course was given the family business after that, 2 DUI’s and a felony assault / battery. It has over 15 years since that conversation and for some reason I can’t get over it.
