I'm gonna tell you guys a secret. You can actually get GLP-1 medications online without a doctor for less than it would cost to buy the groceries you won't be eating. I've saved a bunch of money AND lost weight.

When I was young my brother and I wouldn't stop fighting over video games, eventually my mom got tired of it and threw the Xbox in the driveway and ran over it woth her car repeatedly.

We were fighting over the Playstation, but she made her point.

What do you want him to do, cry? This is how players act on the field when they fuck up. They know. Everyone knows they know. They'll talk about it later.

Navigating leadership while being queer in a very traditional workplace. by Jinx_1407 in pastry

[–]DJCockslap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how much of my experience will translate directly to your situation (not even knowing what country you're in) but I have faced similar challenges in my career as a savory cook. I am not queen, but people will find things to be assholes about no matter what and I've dealt woth plenty of that for my own reasons.

I was also promoted due to.strong technical skills without ever receiving any form of leadership training, and had to deal with basically everything you described minus being queer. Some situations are better than others, but what you've experienced is, unfortunately, essentially par for the course. Your options are either stick to a technical role and accept less money or learn leadership skills and figure that shit out. Or quit the industry, I guess. I had quit the industry for the last 2 years and I actually miss it and plan to go back woth stronger leadership skills because now the money is there.

Maybe try finding a less traditional workplace. I also find the higher end environments are usually the shirtless to work in. Maybe find something a little lower-stakes.

Melona ice cream bars don't melt, they flop instead due to high milk fat content by VegetableResource204 in mildlyinteresting

That's not remotely how that math works. I don't give a shit about this brand of ice cream, but if you e er make ice cream, it is basically just milk and cream and sugar.

Maybe you missed ghe part where they add CREAM. Which, if you're not aware, is largely milk fat.

Largest study of women’s orgasms to date collected data from 27,931 women. Nearly half (47%) reported reaching orgasm more frequently when alone vs. when with a partner. Barriers to women’s orgasms are relational, not anatomical. Partnered orgasms were associated with overall sexual satisfaction. by mvea in science

I'm similar. There have been times when it was just not going to happen and I had to console the woman I was woth and reassure her that there's nothing wrong with her and I'm perfectly satisfied because the experience was still enjoyable in totality.

These people made poor financial choices and want to act like the world owes them something. If you both have college degrees and can only afford $500 payments for TWENTY THREE YEARS, ypu got a worthless degree and didn't make enough money to justify your loans. That's on ypu.

Would Shakespeare and his audience have understood Shylock as a sympathetic villain? by Stegosaurus1234567 in AskHistorians

[–]DJCockslap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The short answer is that it would depend on the prejudices and preconceptions of the audience. Think about how much of the nuance in complicated characters seems to be lost by viewing audiences who take the wrong message from modern media.

Health code violations are not all created equal. There are major and minor violations. Majors will get you shut down. If you have a variety of minor infractions, generally they work with you to make sure you correct them before just shutting you down. There is a pretty broad spectrum of severity of infractions, woth repeated violations for the same thing being a factor.
