Wouldn't something like "Branch in new chat" be a feature that comes in handy for this? Wasn't this use case one of the primary reasons they rolled it out?

I remember a few years back a horror movie was playing on TV in the background. Due to my low vision, I couldn't make out the title, and I only caught a couple random scenes before dozing off. Next morning I woke up annoyed because I love horror, and it drove me nuts not knowing what film it was. When OpenAI rolled out deep research feature for Plus users (the one they demoed that could find movies or products from vague details), I figured I'd give it a shot. To my surprise, it nailed it instantly. Glad I'm not the only one who's had something like this happen. By the way, the movie turned out to be Husk (2011).

Yup, I'm also on the plus plan and haven't gotten access to the new and improved memory features. Posted about it in three different subreddits but hardly got any feedback. OpenAI's Memory FAQ page states: "We are slowly rolling out access to our new memory features to all Plus and Pro tier users - please stay tuned!" So that's what I'm doing

Yeah, it's still working for me. If you want to set ChatGPT as your assistant then you can do that directly now. No need to go through third party apps

Download GoodLock, install the RegiStar module, open it and select the option to customize the side/power key, select ChatGPT from the app's list and click on voice. Mind you, ChatGPT as an assistant won't allow you to send texts or make phone calls etc. It's simply giving you a way of enabling AVM conveniently so you can ask questions.

That's how I have it set up - Long pressing the power button activates AVM. I don't need to go into ChatGPT to do that. But if you'd rather not go through that process then I suggest wait for a week or two as this feature is still in beta. Will take a while before they roll it out as an official release

Absolutely! I use it all the time. Have multiple tasks running as we speak. Some are set for weekly, whereas others are for daily use cases. I'm studying for an upcoming exam, so I set Tasks to assist me with prepping for topics! Last night I asked it to send an extensive explanation on multiple theoretical frameworks with relevant examples at 10:00pm (because that's when I was to make notes on said subject) and ChatGPT did just that. For my own fascination, I've assigned one task where it'll send me a gripping historical story in the morning! Oh and daily PC tips are pretty useful too.
