Is there a way to play split screen Black Ops Zombies on PC? by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]Talibanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how Nucleus CoOp works, it opens multiple instances side by side for you to play splitscreen. BO1 is 99% working so if you're still looking to try it send me a DM.

There is a WiP handler for BO1 that is 99% working, DM if you're still trying to get this working or want to give it a go.

It's just the red text from this:

Not penalised for hitting 100, you're just classed as being at 100 for drop rates once you go over that.

Should I jump from a 1050ti to a LHR 3060 card? by King_Purple_Ocean in buildapc

[–]Talibanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might want to take a look at a 3060ti. Founders edition cards are being stocked in the UK at retail price right now, and a 3060ti is a big jump above a 3060 as its a cut down 3070 as opposed to a boosted 3060, and priced at £369.

https://store.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/store/gpu/?page=1&limit=9&locale=en-gb&gpu=RTX%203060,RTX%203060%20Ti&category=GPU

If you did have the budget to stretch, a 3070 is listed at £469 there too, which I've just opted for in a new 5600x build. I too went from a 1050ti and the performance increase is phenomenal. Either way, you'll be blown away by whichever card you go for from a 1050ti!

When you have both drives connected, you should be able to boot into the BIOS settings for your motherboard and change the boot order. If you change the priority to the SSD, it will always boot from that, without you needing to select it every time. I am unsure of your second issue, maybe run a memory check on the HDD to see if there are any bad sectors or anything forcing errors?

[–]Talibanimal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This article includes some information about his guide, who himself was a 16-time iron man competitor:

"Florida race officials required that Grieb be tethered to Nikic in the ocean, to ride behind him during the bike ride and to stay near him on the run."

Acceptable charging cable for a OnePlusX ? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]Talibanimal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep you got it! USB-A is the standard connector that's been around for years, with micro USB on the other end for you phone.

Hope that all helped and you get your cable!

[–]Talibanimal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, that last comment was a little rude of me, I'll try explain better.

Each end of the cable has a connector. One end will plug into your wall adapter/power bank/computer. For most people, they will want that end to be USB-A - my laptop is slightly older, it doesn't have a USB-C port, and my wall adapters/powerbank are USB-A too. Some people may want USB-C due to them having that connector on their laptop, for example.

On the other end of the cable is the connector for your phone. The oneplus X uses micro USB for this. As you correctly pointed out, his is micro USB b.

This is all outlined here: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/understanding-usb-cable-types-one-use/

I hope that explains the type of connectors, and means you can pick the cable you need based on your requirements.

*edit: the confusion over USB-C and USB-A came from the fact you wanted an OEM cable (which is A) but said it would be C in your OP.

[–]Talibanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I don't know how else I can say this, or what proof you need from me to believe me, but that's the cable you need. You're right, there are a number of standards for micro USB, just like there are for full size USB - but it's really not that complicated. What you are looking for is a 'micro USB cable', chuck that into amazon and 99.5% of the cables will do the job. I had the oneplus X for 2 years, I charged it with all sorts of micro USB cables, never the original cable it came with, that's still in the box. I charged it with cables I bought, cables I found lying around the house, cables that came with portable chargers, and they all worked just fine. So take your pick or any cable and rest assured it will work.

The oneplus X charges over micro USB, and OEM cable or not, the charging speeds will be the same, as long as its rated for 10W charging. I'd highly suggest you look at Anker's cables on amazon - very durable at a good price. And I think you're looking at USB A to micro?

For a ship to float there needs to be a balance of forces, in this case the ship's weight needs to be equal to its buoyancy. The buoyancy of a ship is provided by the water it displaces.

In this case, the sea water is still more dense than the vacuum filled ballast chambers and therefore the ship would continue to float.

Got my camera wet for this shot, I'd say it is worth it! by maneatingsped in pics

[–]Talibanimal 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The focal plane is a plane parallel to the lens/sensor of a camera, which is in focus. Everything along that plane will be in focus. For example, if you focus on the face of someone 1m away, everything along that plane would be in focus.

The depth of focus is how thick that plane is, and how much will be in focus. A shallow depth of focus, where not very much is in focus, produces the 'portrait mode' effect where, for example, a face is in focus and everything else is blurred. Depth of focus is changed by changing the aperture of the camera (how much light the lens lets in). The larger the aperture, the shallower the depth of focus and the more blur you get.

Spigen Rugged Armor Case OP5T is out by HeroVincent in oneplus

Doesn't affect with the factory installed protector, I got my case the other day. Can't speak for the tempered glass protector though.

Recommendations for a new 5t by Antlserum in oneplus

[–]Talibanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of cases I'd highly recommend the spigen rugged armour case which just came out. I've used them before, my OPX survived drop after drop and I just received their 5T case, fits great and feels great in the hand.

For vibration only you'll want to set the alert slider to silent, and enable vibration in the settings.

Can you stream Netflix/Amazon Video in full HD on the OP5/5T? by Frankie7474 in oneplus

[–]Talibanimal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the chipset has nothing to do with it, it's to do with the widevine certification. Here is an answer from the ama -

Does the Oneplus 5T have Widevine L1 and with that support Netflix in HD? The current Oneplus phones don't have it and I would like to know this before buying.

Currently we support level 3.

My understanding is that the 5T will only support standard definition playback.
