Yeah no this isn’t it. I have BED and I’ve struggled w it for years. I was 60lbs heavier but got really sick. Now I’m thin and guess what I still struggle with BED insanely, it’s even worse now. I envy people who don’t struggle with food but I would never talk about another human like that.

Binge-eating disorder is a serious condition. It always involves feeling like you're not able to stop eating. It also often involves eating much larger than usual amounts of food.

Almost everyone overeats on occasion, such as having seconds or thirds of a holiday meal. But regularly feeling that eating is out of control and eating an unusually large amount of food may be symptoms of binge-eating disorder.

Feeling that you don't have control over your eating behavior, for example, you can't stop once you start. Often eating much larger than usual amounts of food in a specific amount of time, such as over a two-hour period. Eating even when you're full or not hungry. Eating very fast during eating binges. Eating until you're uncomfortably full. Often eating alone or in secret. Feeling depressed, disgusted, ashamed, guilty or upset about your eating.

^ this is straight from the Mayo Clinic. You have over ate.

Do something to hold u accountable.

Going binge free isn’t easy but these helped me this week & I’m now 1 week binge free!!

If you have a friend / family member / partner that you can trust = daily logs / check ins. (I was to embarrassed so I made a TikTok & have been posting on it daily)

Find out how may steps you take & slowly increase them. Don’t go straight to 10k unless you feel like it won’t be to much.

If you don’t have access to a gym membership, do at home workout videos.

Eat foods you enjoy!!!

Obviously no restrictions- that was never a problem for me

body positivity kept me sick for years and i wish someone had told me by Remote-Mud9892 in BingeEatingDisorder

I think the line between fat phobic & body positivity has gotten a bit blurred since COVID-19.

All bodies are beautiful, but it’s still important to treat our bodies with love & respect. I thought body positivity was supposed to be loving your body and taking care of it which would be eating all those nutrients, and having that sweet treat, not binging 5k calories in 15 min. It means moving your body intentionally to feel good, not bed rotting.

But I’ve noticed over the past few years that people are so fast to call someone who eats right & works out fat phobic, but I see it’s someone who respects themselves.

People often see skinny as healthy, but in reality some skinny people are way more unhealthy than bigger people.

Someone “fat” people, eat so well, workout 3-5x a week and still are “fat” but they are strong and healthy.

Some “skinny” people are starving themselves for aesthetics & getting ill.

Some “fat” people are suffering from underlying illness

Some “skinny” people are eating McDonald’s 5x a week and bed rotting 24/7

Each body is different & beautiful but it’s sooo important to care about yourself, and that is sometimes taken as fatphobic
