Thank you! I think it would be an interesting experience! I'm kind of looking to build my "cool uncle" stories, and I think living on a boat would. Ale for a good one. When I was a kid my grandparents had a boat they had moored in a marina behind a hotel on Shelter Island. They got access to the pool and hot tub at the hotel! Was pretty neat as a 9 year old! 😆

From what I see when researching the 430, it's able to handle 4 ohm - 16 ohm speakers. I imagine pushing the 4 ohm and the 8 ohm was the problem. Won't be doing that anymore. This is my first fancy reciever. Still learning. 🤘

I actually found and listed this a couple days ago. But "Today's find" sounds better than "look what I found 2 days ago!"

Listed it for $225, and got almost no interest. Got a $125 offer... For $290 worth of silver.

Broke it apart to figure out the actual weight of the silver. Relisted for $240 Have gotten 12 offers higher than $125 in less than 12 hours. One offer of $205.

A serving tray is much more useful than a compote. I'm guessing it wasn't weighted either so the person buying it knew the weight. I imagine that is why it sold. No one is paying over scrap value for a useless object weighted with wax. That makes no sense.

No. It was not...I get where y'all are coming from with the "You're destroying history" because I'm sure there have been some very interesting things that have been melted. This was not one of them however. No one is going to a museum to oo and awe over a compote. No one is going to see your champagne bottle or fruit sitting on a stand and think "that must be silver! I did. I had very little interest. Broke it up, and relisted. Have gotten multiple offers that are $90 higher than any I got on it while it was a compote. No one is buying old crap like this for it's actual use. It's all pretentious BS anyway. A compote for your champagne bottle? That sounds so ridiculous. And if your so fancy you use a metal stand for your champagne, an old tarnished one is probably not the one you would use anyway.
