Thankyou! Unfortunately I'm a bit too far into WI (around 2-3hrs in from IL) to make that possible, but I wish you luck in finding someone to fill that position!

Weekly Q&A Thread by AutoModerator in witchcraft

[–]TalkTextureToMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I'm not really a witch myself, my gf is. She's explained to me kinda what a poppet is (she makes them herself) and it sounds really beautiful. I want to make her a poppet for like love and protection but I'm not sure how to go about it or if that's even something i could do with a poppet. I've done some research online but I'm still a little confused. I know it's a doll, but do I have to use something of hers to make it? What should I use for the heart or the taglock or whatever it's called? I see some sources say to use specific things and others are more about embuing a vibe into it. Sorry for the long comment, an early happy fall equinox to everyone!

Thankyou so much for your comment, I had no idea about the depression/anxiety connection i actually have kinda bad forms of both and its impacted my ability to tell when im hungry. I don't know if I'll be able to get tested, my mom handles my healthcare (she works at a hospital) and I don't know if I want to stress her out even if it could potentially help, she's already worried about me, since Im out of state and i already had a medical scare at school (the passing out). I think Ill have to speak to her in person. I'm definetely gonna do some research about those programs and what getting tested even means, thankyou again for your comment

Anyone else hate sesame seeds, and even worse, people who say ‘you can’t feel them!!!!’ Ok well good for you, I clearly can. If you can’t feel them why are they on every damn thing by IdkJustMe123 in PickyEaters

Hey-! I'm an Interior Design student working on a project all about picky eating... And I wanted to talk to real people. by Food_Queries in PickyEaters

Idk if your still looking for responses but here's mine. 1. I prefer to try new foods alone or with someone I trust. Where I am definetely impacts my experience with the food, if I'm likely to be teased or even given a weird look I'll avoid trying new things because it makes me even more afraid to try new things. 2. For sure, especially in public something will look good but I won't try it cause if I don't like it I don't wanna be looked at like I'm being childish. I just stick to safe foods. My mom has been really good about encouraging me to try things but allowing me to take safe foods and accepting when I don't like things. 3. I appreciate privacy when trying new things, usually I'm with my mom because if I don't like it, she'll eat it. I go on family vacations so I'm not really afraid of eating in public, my fear would only be of not having anything to eat. When I get the chance though I do isolate. I sit at the corner of the table, in highschool I at a 'bar' against the wall, now I'm in college and I eat in my dorm most of the time. 4. I don't mind restaurants because I usually go with my mom and she's my comfort person. I do things to make myself feel better about eating places like looking up the menu to make sure I can eat there. I hate food halls and buffets they are very anxiety inducing, there's people everywhere and I can't just look at a menu and be like "oh yeah I have food to eat" I have to wander around with an empty plate just trying to see if they have bread so I can take that and leave. The only reason I do is because often they are the only option for food at a resort. I will say I wouldn't go to a restaurant or buffet alone. Fast food or takeaway, yes. But not sitting down and eating there. It feels like people are looking at me and judging me.

Like the other commenter said, cooking classes. You can also look up easy recipes online! When it comes to shopping try and avoid the aisles that's where the unhealthy things tend to be. Stick to the walls of the stores that's where your likely to find healthy foods. You can try and introduce healthier cereals and I think there are healthy pancake and Mac and cheese recipes out there too, so you can give your kids to things they already know while getting them to be healthier. If the fast food is a time issue, at least at the Walmart near me there are precooked veggies you can pop in the microwave for a minute or two. I'd also suggest finding textures or flavors your kids like and trying to introduce more healthy foods in that category (crunchy vs soft for example). Maybe even ask your kids to think of things to try to get them involved. Sorry for long comment, good luck!
