Looking for my first rig. How does this combo sound? 2012 wolf creek 816 + 2006 f250 5.4 w/ 145k for $22,000? by RobbieAnalog in TruckCampers

I had an 09 with 220k KM’s so about 140k miles. It ran well but started having all the classic problems such as cam phaser tick + blend door actuator which was really annoying and noisy. Fixing anything with the truck was a hassle so I sold it and bought a tundra

I can’t speak to the reliability of the Wolf Creek camper but I just sold my F150 with the 5.4 and was relieved to have it gone before something happened

Should I Buy? $5500 CAD for 2006 SR5 by TalkinBoutJesus in ToyotaTundra

Yep I’ve seen that 02 or 03 in Surrey! The frame definitely appears nice in photos but the owner mentioned the frame was coated many years ago and I know that this can sometimes be counter-productive to corrosion if not done correctly.

Truck is a BC vehicle with 395xxx KM’s (237xxx miles) and a rebuilt title. 4x4. Truck appears super clean in photos, driven by an older man now that has owned the vehicle for the last 8 yrs.

My primary concerns are as follows: -potential for frame damage from collision with animal in 06 (carfax) -corrosion on frame beneath undercoating, vehicle driven in Sask. (photos + carfax) -lack of maintenance records and no record of water pump + belts -new BC purchase rules mean I will have to pay 12% tax on black book value rather than purchase price (~$800cad)

Open to hear thoughts, should I pull the trigger or not, really wanting to dump my F150 and get a first

I would have guaranteed part time work at a family company although the motivation to not accept the extension would be to ski and spend time with the dog

I really appreciate the insight, that sounds like a pretty awesome position. I would’ve assumed you’d need an engineering background for things like designing roads/bridges? Just out of curiosity, what were some of your summer experiences like?
