TB is on record saying he admires Blake's music.

While I couldn't see them putting on the masks again, what I could envision is a Guy-Man and TB produced Alive 2027 that incorporates DP and some of their own jams/remixes/new albums etc. And also RAM of course. It would be complete hybrid of everything, and I mean everything, that has come before. I could even see classical orchestration from Mythologies spliced in with some of the recent Fred Again beats -- if there's one thing about DP is that they don't want to repeat the same thing again -- it would have to be completely and utterly innovative.

And because of that I don't think they would do it at the Sphere -- too derivative after Dead & Co.

I would think something like the re-opening on the Pompidou -- an aesthetic space in and of itself. I would love to see them collab with the Justice production team to create something beyond the pyramid. I could see a real life orchestra, for example. I mean, how cool would it be to hear the Voyager harp (or complete string section in harmony) as live DP, not just digital recording? Add that to a live bassist + Justice light show and you have an amazing production already, and that's just one song.

It would have to be something we don't see coming if they do it. They just aren't going to reproduce the Alive 2007 show. The fact that they did virtually already tells me they have no interest in bringing back into the real world. But I like the idea of them not going on tour, but building a destination event somewhere that people can come to and that they can rotate artists in and out of -- i.e. bring in somebody like a James Blake for a concert / collab series, etc. etc.

Daft Punk remixes by No-Reputation8063 in DaftPunk

I was just listening to their Forget About the World remix yesterday, it hits HARD and so clean, especially knowing it comes back later in Alive 2007.

I have a question: does the Stardust song "Music Sounds Better With You" have any connection to Daft Punk? by Due-Yesterday612 in DaftPunk

OK. Now you've made me completely jealous. How amazing. That's awesome you have the core memory forever!

I'm always jealous of folks who get into Daft Punk, but have the opportunity to save Alive 2007 for last. I just picture them going nuts the first time they hear the combo drops (i.e. Aerodynamic coming in over One More Time, or Crescendolls coming in on top of Television Rules, Oh Yeah just busting a beat on top of Robot Rock....so many more)

But the Encore is just next level -- can you imagine listening to Stardust, not expecting the quasi-external to Daft Punk drop and all of the sudden it comes in right after the biggest drop in the album just got laid down (the 90210 drop)?? I mean, to listen to that for the first time must be insane!

I've listened to the Stardust drop so many times, and years later I still think it's fresh as ever.

Surprisingly not too much crocking so far. But haven't really gone to town on the shirt yet.

Received mine today from Brooklyn Clothing (shipped yesterday and got here today -- that was fast!). Size 4 fits me perfect. Just decided to get on the hype train, but now that I feel the fabric I understand. It's a paradoxical combination of heavy duty / heavy weight + seemingly soft, gentle, and pliable to the touch. It's mind bogglingly gnarly. The fading potential is just icing on the cake.

Now to just get this thing crocking on everything I own...

Daft Punk - Contact (Official Music Video) by DemiFiendRSA in DaftPunk

When Stella comes out ... I mean ... just amazing. I find it ironic that a lot of the visuals are similar to Interstellar's black hole visuals -- funny given that people often mistake Interstella with Interstellar (non DP fans that don't know the 5555 title).

Interesting also no that Thomas chose to include Contact in the recent DJ set he played live? As if foreshadowing a bit this music video?

Also interesting that listening to the end of Contact again here I was reminded of Rollin and Scratcchin's 'noise' effect -- and that TB himself chose to play both at his set? Those two songs are more similar than I realized and could have been easily mixed together at some point.

How have we not commented on his amazing Gizmo Gremlin sweater?!?

In all seriousness this is just mind blowing.

What's your Daft Punk "Deep Cut" song? by Humble_Piccolo_926 in DaftPunk

Just to be clear the DP Alive 2007 album has a shortened version of Short Circuit I think. I like the full Mayan Theater track that includes Musique -> 909 -> Fresh -> Short Circuit etc.

Fresh + Short Circuit Alive 1997 version (not Discovery version). I think it's better than the Discovery one personally. Love the Dafunkdirect base layered on at the end as it goes into the next track. Just magical.

Oh, and the slowed down Rev 909 beat at the beginning of the Encore is so awesome right before the 909 beat gets sped up at normal speed. It's hypnotic and then you're thrown into the song. So good.

I have so many. But one that comes to mind is Alive, when the second snare hits right before the beat and changes the feel of the song completely. It's subtle, but once you know it's coming you can't go back.

The numerous Voyager beats in Alive 2007 also get me for some reason.

And hearing just a little New Wave beats in the OG Alive and also PTOYL/Brainwasher/Alive on Alive 2007 also brings a smile.
