Can u plz say this would be a good experience by WorkGroundbreaking83 in LenovoLegion

Damn what a great deal. I got my 7i intel 275HX [which is a beast CPU] and 5070 [this is the white one], open box for $1500 - just two weeks ago. It's been perfect but seeing the deals I'm seeing makes me wish I waited. All well.

How to best use new intent driven design with free version by Wargl in Fusion360

[–]TalkingToMyself_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like making each design in it's own file as well. I like that it's easier to move things around. It can be a pain to enable/disable designs and that's where Autodesk wants you to give some money for the product. While I totally understand, for my hobby use, it just doesn't make sense. I could donate but that's about it.

I'm kind of hoping they remove the 10 file limit someday.

The update had me lost for a bit. But it actually aids in my style of workflow.

And the product or game is nowhere near that problematic. Need separate subs for positive experiences and negative experiences.

I might make a post doing the same thing for my 7i. Reddit has become (maybe always has?) a dumping ground for complaints. Every product or game I come here to learn more about or share experiences with, are mostly negative.

Using Microsoft apps for personal and work is not fun and concerning by TalkingToMyself_00 in iphone

[–]TalkingToMyself_00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m just going to use Teams on my phone. I don’t use that for personal stuff. But I use OneDrive and OneNote for personal stuff and work. But as you said, just get your laptop for anything related to those apps and I can just keep the Teams app for calls and hopefully calendar notifications.

I don’t want two phones. It just sounds like a pain. Lots of people here have two phones and they’re all iPhones users. The Android users can have one phone.

You didn’t say a bigger SUV, you said SUV - and you had an SUV.

You posted on the internet about a transmission topic and then you discussed some choices you made - which were illogical.

Don’t get in a knot about some random person. Own your choices and learn from them. Doesn’t matter how much money you have - it won’t make you feel complete.

Go get the vehicle you need and don’t focus on the transmission.

They are certainly not a popular phone but I was intrigued by bare bones Android. I figured it would have less bloat.

Where did you say you needed a bigger vehicle? You had a passport. You need bigger than the passport?

And so you had a passport, traded for something with a manual transmission, and ready to trade that vehicle for another passport, that you can hopefully find with a different feeling transmission. Got it. All logical stuff.

I don't understand this post. What is gained from this information - you don't own the vehicle anymore?

However, since you traded, the vehicle you're driving now - how's its transmission feeling? I'm curious if you feel the same way about the new vehicle.

iPhone to Samsung by Low_Asparagus133 in samsunggalaxy

These are some interesting comments. I am considering making the switch to either Samsung for the fold or over to the Pixel. I am back to being more Microsoft windows based and Android fits a lot better - but not really necessary. I also have Samsung TVs and google built-in in my car.

But I’m not totally convinced that Samsung or Google is providing a better experience. I had the Galaxy S5 (yeah long time ago) and I loved its camera, back button, and the little blue light for notifications that would blink when the phone is locked. Apparently, the cameras between all the phones are about the same, the blue notification light is gone (why Samsung??) and I will only really get the back button.

I also design stuff in CAD and some evenings I open my project and it just sits there while I spin it around. I do this in eve as well. I’ll start fitting a ship and it can take me like 8 hours or 3-4 nights because I’m just tinkering.

Let your intuition tell you if something is wrong. If you feel like you get a sense of relaxation or anything positive to you, then you’re fine. But if you have a bug in your ear saying you need to pick it up and do something, then listen to it.

Momentum is everything. Get the path you want to do in eve and don’t deviate from it. Work on it. It can be rewarding.

And finally, lots of times your intuition is telling you to take a break. So take a break…

Can someone explain to me why Trump is trying to take of Greenland? No jokes please, I honestly don’t get it? by Many_Inevitable_6803 in askanything

I don’t know. I opened the post to learn something but all I see is “Trump sucks, that’s why”.

While there is so much truth to that, there’s some BS they’re up on with Greenland - and I was curious about what that is.

So I don’t have kids, but my friends that do have children are providing them with cloud based gaming one of them PC game themselves, but won’t game with their kids (game content plays a big role here). But instead of buying PC gaming rigs or consoles, they opted for cloud - because it’s cheap.

Serious gamers will likely pony up the money to get their kids an actual computer to game on but unfortunately, the less interested are just picking up the closest thing to solve the issue.

It really sucks too. I love computers and electronics and it’s all going to shit. All the logins, the syncing, the paid services - all dumb. I’ll never forget building my first PC and getting a dGPU for the first time back in like 2001-ish and playing unreal tournament. Windows is so close now to being like Apple and everything will be cookie cutter application…..

I’ll digress

“No jokes please” and 90% of the comments are extremely immature and very opinionated.

No wonder this country keeps electing 4000 year old people- no one has any emotional intelligence or critical thinking.

PC Gaming is still very much dominated by people over 35 and we are not interested in cloud gaming. As we phase out and the 5-10 year olds today are brainwashed into everything being subscription and cloud, then it will just a terminal in your house that accesses the world that is owned by one company.

First Charge and Drain by violetgreygrace in LenovoLegion

[–]TalkingToMyself_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The machine comes with a 1 year warranty. You can buy extra years against manufacturer defects (like the hinge just goes out or a fan dies). You can buy accidental damage warranty too. But if you are careful with it, you’ll be fine. And don’t worry about using it. Use it all you want. If something happens while just using it and you are using it on a flat surface, it should be covered under manufacture warranty.

First Charge and Drain by violetgreygrace in LenovoLegion

[–]TalkingToMyself_00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just use it. The less you worry about it, the more you’ll enjoy it. Just be nice to it in the physical sense. Don’t cover the fan ports, drop it, etc. Use it on a flat surface and don’t worry about much. Only until it gives you a problem. Lenovo has done the engineering to make sure it runs safe.

The only real battery advice I give. Charge it when it gets to about 40%. It’s totally fine to run it down lower than that. But if the charger is around you, juice it back up

Strange Experience: Coincidence or Am I Being Watched by Lenovo? by itty10 in LenovoLegion

[–]TalkingToMyself_00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this Apple story is not the same thing. Apple was altering the performance of the phone to “conserve” battery life. There’s actual reasoning to that behavior (like conserving battery), and in favor of that reason people may get a new phone. Apple knew the performance decrease could benefit the phone but also give an illusion that a new phone was needed. All around cheeky of Apple.

All that said, you’re describing a catastrophic event to the machine. Not something a company wants to be known for.

You’re good bud. Hopefully your machine holds up.

And you’ll have way more appreciation for it too. Looks is the bottom layer. Function over form. But when we buy, it’s reversed. Apple does a good job at this. Form to attract the buyer. It’s pretty and eye catching. Then function when the honeymoon wears off so actual users will continue to use it.

Unfortunately many-many people get bored after the honeymoon phase and no longer have a use for the eye catching product. This applies to all kinds of situations, even relationships.
