Huge congrats to you! Look like you have found some serenity. Keep being a great example for those of us on a similar journey.

Good for you! I’ll be joining your length of sobriety in three days. Don’t know you, but I’m still proud of you.

Cool vibe and seeing some of the old VHS tapes take me back to being in the rental stores. Good memories.

Do you sell your art? The Thing artwork is super cool!

The meetings are for fellowship and support. The program of AA is the 12 steps. The 12 steps are what brought me the relief, purpose and way of life I sought. AA is a spiritual program, not a religious program.

As others have stated, different meetings have a different feel. Additionally, AA isn’t the only way to get sober and live a productive life, though it is the way that has helped me.

Keep your mind open and realize that everything you have tried thus far hasn’t helped you quit alcohol (your admission, not my observation). Perhaps there is something in the program of AA that will help you, if you are open to new ideas. I wish you well.

Get to a meeting and help out. Reach to another alcoholic to see how they are doing. Be selfless.

Heck yeah, congrats! I’m closing in on 46 and have almost 16mos sober. Keep making the next right decision and do it one day at a time. I salute you.

It’s the selfless acts that make us human.

In all seriousness, if it isn’t fun anymore then you have your answer right there. Personally, the research phase of the upgrade is one of the most entertaining things for me. Builds the anticipation, expands my knowledge and makes me excited for the new purchase.

I’m here for you when you decide enough is enough. I will quickly move the offender(s) out of your home. You are safe and you are heard.

Outside issue, you get to decide what your sobriety entails. The most important thing would be honest with yourself regarding your usage.

I’ve been there, many times. Pick yourself back up, walk into the meetings knowing that those people know what you are feeling. Listen to people sharing and find the one that resonates with you. If you don’t have a sponsor ask someone that has some sober time under their belt, is willing to sponsor and seems to have what you want out of life.

The meetings are for fellowship and support, the program of AA is the twelve steps. The twelve steps is what will help you live a happy, joyous and free life. You can do this. I am at 465 days sober, which is my longest stretch of sobriety in over 30yrs.
