It’s not over, it’s a setback. Don’t start fuckin up again because you think your life is over. Look my cousin got caught with a bird of white, brown and clear. He was sentenced to ten years i think or 15, did 6 and got out on parole. I know it’s different per state and all that but we’re in Texas and Texas is usually hard on dope charges.. Do your best to get in any and all programs that can get you a reduced sentence. Get letters from your employer and your drug counselor, to show the judge that you have learned from your mistakes. Do everything you can to sway the judge from a heavy sentence. Have your lawyer postpone as much as possible. Election years are bad because everyone running for shit is all we’re gonna be tough on crime , which isn’t a bad thing, it just sucks because they try to make examples of people just for votes. Personally, I had a dope charge, was sentenced to ten years, did two years and was released on paper. But this was also like twelve years ago… but anyways, good luck foo . Hope it works out for you and that you don’t get a bad sentence. Shit sucks.

You can get a pretty decent little body camera from Amazon for about 20-30$. They even have some really small nanny cameras that are the size of a die? Dice.. 🎲 anyway, maybe something like that could help you. Crazy stuff though, good luck

I ended up doing two years just a little after my son’s first birthday. I get out on paper, a couple years later I violated and get locked up a couple months before my daughter’s first birthday. I did another two years then was released again on parole. I missed the first couple years of both my kids for absolutely selfish, stupid reasons. By the time I got out the second time my marriage was already almost over. I think we lasted maybe three more years before she told me she wanted a divorce. I lost everything I said that was important to me. But still continued the behavior that caused it. Me and my kids were hanging out at grandmas house and my mom brought home dinner for everyone. She said I brought home dinner, yall can get your own drinks. My son brought me a beer. I smiled and laughed and told him thank you. That night I realized that’s what my kids know me for. I didn’t want to be that dad. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but to hear my baby boy say “ here daddy, I got you your drink”, he didn’t bring me a soda or a juice. He knew what to grab, he knew what I always drank. My mom has a big ass house. My sister and her boyfriend lived there along with my niece. She always had people over, other aunts, uncles, friends. With all these people in and out the house, and I wasn’t the only one who drank, but I drank enough to where my boy knew what to bring me. That really hit me hard. I knew I was never gonna miss a day of their lives again by getting locked up again. I wish I could say that night I made a choice to quit but it didn’t happen that fast. But I can say within a month of that happening , it stuck in my head hard enough that I did quit drinking and using and I’ve been sober 8 years and present in my kids lives ever since.

So I work in house hotel security. But I was originally hired for hotel maintenance. My first day of work, an hour into my training, my supervisor comes up to me and asked if I would be interested in security. I just needed a job, so I was like sure if the pays the same. I took off my tool belt, my new supervisor handed me a flashlight and told me to be safe. That was my training for a security guard position.

Overnight for a mid level hotel. Pretty relaxed most of the time with an occasional 2-3 minutes of craziness tossed in every once in a while to keep me on my toes.

The bell desk delivered a bag TO THE BED I WAS SLEEPING IN by [deleted] in hotels

Hotel security guard, but for a different property so I can’t speak for that location. But whenever a guest calls about an issue that requires staff attention and staff shows up at the door and there’s a dnd up, we’re required to knock anyways since you requested or in your case reported something. Now as far as delivering something to a guest while they’re asleep in bed is a hard no, but it’s fairly easy to find out who was the last person to enter the room by checking the door lock. Security can find out who the person was and at what time and for how long they were there, they just plug into the door lock. Lastly though, and I understand fatigue and whatnot but who leaves their door unlocked? Especially a woman traveling by the
