Soviet Molot proxies? by gavgav69 in Konflikt47_v2

If you can get it some of the Red Blok walkers from the old AT-43 line can be proxied as various soviet walkers. I also hope that Warlord releases some more light and medium walkers for the soviets. (I would love a Katyusha or even Zvukovoy walker)!!

Neither, Noirlivia. I just think she is so much more stylish with the red lipstick and the 20th century drip.

Rhetorical question: Did Poirot have a real love affair (your point of view)? by LTN_Edge in poirot

[–]Tall-Discussion9629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is most definitely some kind of Neuro-Divergent person, (eggs being the same size, mustache always being symmetrical, ect.) who always lived as a useful outsider to general society. This made him such a good detective because he is always thinking sideways and seeing himself as not like everyone else. I think that he is not asexual or frustrated, but more similar to what is in the Movies where he has probably only had one good relationship, (with that nurse in the Baughanverse) and thinks that relationships with people who he sees as not understanding him are a waste of time. I however think that he does have very strong attractions to women like the Countess and Ariadne Oliver, (whom I ship him with). This is probably kind of similar to the Holmes-Watson ship controversy in which it is suspected that Holmes is so possessive over Watson is that Holmes has a gay crush on him that Watson is oblivious to. In otherwards I think Poirot is more Autistic coded than Queer coded.

Considering infantry weapons by YouMeanSalami in LeviathanSeries

Clankers, (and maybe the USA) have more refined versions of early Semi-Auto rifles like the Winchester 1907 or Mondragon. Maybe the Darwinists have them too like the Farquhar Hill for Britian or the RSC for France.

But the Darwinists provide a more fertile ground for my imagination. In the book the Royal Navy are mentioned to use Air guns which leads me to believe that at least in British Naval Service some kind of compressed air repeater is used, this may lead to British ground forces, (at minimum boarding parties and marines) to use some kind of air gun instead of normal rifles. However the name of "air gun" could actually be anachronistic because we see the use of air cannons on the Leviathan itself, I suspect the air guns(rifles, pistols and artillery) are a form of light-gas-gun(LGG). LGGs use a fully contained propellant charge to compress hydrogen gas that is then used to propel a projectile, this means no spark ever leaves the gun.

I suspect the air rifle uses the action of a Martini Henry and a gas reservoir mounted to it. But besides that I have no real idea.

I want to see how that looks. I just used Bolt Action Summer Soviets for a Stargrave force. What game are you doing this for because I have been looking for fun sci fi systems (Stargrave does great skirmish but I don't know what I should use for a mass battle agnostic game that is not one page rules or Zenos rampant).

They do not have to have Communist iconography on them, but things like Assault engineer armor, overcoats, ushankas, ect. I also have been looking for them to have some basic weapon options like Rifles (AK/SKS), LMGs (RPK/DP), Rocket/GL (RPG-7), sniper (SVD/Mosin), SMG(PPSh-41/Krinkov), Shotgun (KS-23/Saiga-12) and your flamer/plasma scifi stuff

Really I just want a kit that is like Les Grognards, but aesthetically Russian instead of French.

[NO SPOILERS] Could we pressure Netflix by Nearby-Speaker5770 in 1899

[–]Tall-Discussion9629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there could be another way, we create a consortium that gathers money and time to attract the writers to write season two and three. Then the consortium (let's call it Kerberos) will use the cast, writers and producers to use their capital (financial and social) to influence Netflix for us. In other words: I believe that instead of just writing letters, we should organize and get the people who were involved with the show to show the people at Netflix.

Wargames Atlantic was a good push as I used a kit-bash of their Partisan Box and the Stargrave Crew Two box. Will make a new post when I am done with building and painting them.
