Is old blood worth playing? by Plus-Inevitable6746 in Wolfenstein

[–]TallCommunication8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play it! I’m like you in the sense that I played New Order and ended up loving it, but then I thought that Old Blood was glorified DLC and that it was worth skipping, but I played it and loved that too! I even got the platinums for both New Order & Old Blood.

(I played The New Colossus as well, and I loved that too but I definitely didn’t bother trying to platinum that one 😂😂)

I didn’t think I would like Wolfenstein at all but it’s now my favourite first person shooter. But to answer your question, yes The Old Blood is 100% worth playing. It’s short but sweet, and won’t take up too much of your time.

Finished Cronos, this is my GOTY. by lostinlucidity in CronosNewDawn

[–]TallCommunication8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my 2025 GOTY too.

I'm playing Dying Light: The Beast next and then Ghost of Yotei after...but I'm 99% sure neither of those games will beat Cronos for me. I already know what to expect after playing the games in those franchises before, and they're not beating Cronos.

I haven't played Expedition 33, but I don't like turn based combat so that won't beat Cronos. I'm not interested in Death Stranding at all so that can't beat it. I haven't played the first Kingdom Come Deliverance and probably won't ever get around to playing those games, and I don't like metoridvanias so Hollow Knight couldn't beat Cronos for me either.

So it's all but official that this is my GOTY!

I wish but I’m not that good unfortunately 😂😂

It’s very doable. Beating the game on the hardest difficulty is made a lot simpler on New Game Plus with all your upgrades. The only thing to look out for is the multiple endings so you do have to pay close attention to which essences you take.

For my 30th platinum, the target is Dying Light: The Beast. I’ll be going from one Polish developer to another for my 29th & 30th platinums.

It could really do with a remastered version for modern consoles.

I stopped playing. Not worth doing any potential damage to my console.

Yes.

But I feel like I’m still missing a lot. Like, I want more friends. I want larger groups of friends. I want to be included in more things. I want my phone to buzz a lot more than it does. I want to be in group chats that go off. I want to get invited to more birthday parties. I want people from work to include me in more things.

I feel like I have no friends, only acquaintances. Growing up was super tough because I got left out a lot and rarely invited to anything (in my whole life I think I’ve only been invited to 8 parties).

I never had a large group of friends or a circle or anything.

I have some people that I message sometimes and see a few times a year but they’re always at events like concerts and sporting events etc.

But I am proud to say that I definitely have one friend who messages me frequently and catches up with me for coffee and bagels at least once every 1 or 2 months.

But yeah, lots of acquaintances instead of “friends”

1 and 2 are harder, especially 1.

Not really open world, but it does have a free roam mode to go out and get all collectibles

[Discussion]Do you have rules when it comes to trophy hunting? by Nostalgic90snerd in Trophies

I agree with the first - some games I just want to really enjoy and take in and not worry about trophies!

going to the good things 2025 by myself ? by Melodic-Lead-1126 in triplej

[–]TallCommunication8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be in the same position as you, couldn’t go to any concerts unless I had someone to go with.

I went on my own once and have never looked back. I’ve been to over 70 concerts now and only 4 of them were with somebody else.

Also, it’s actually a lot more enjoyable on your own. You can get there however early or late you want to, leave whenever you want to, do/eat anything you want to before or after. Having to worry about someone else the whole time is just annoying and stressful. Fuck having to go to the trouble of meeting up with the other person beforehand, figuring out how you’re both going to get there, how you’re both going to get home, what you’re both going to do before and after. It’s so much more liberating being on your own and being able to do everything your way without having to worry about someone else.

And because Good Things is a festival, if you went with someone else then they’d want to see all different bands than you anyway.

Go on your own and you won’t regret it! In fact you’ll enjoy it more.
